Kylie Jenner Contours Her Ears, That Is All

The KarJenners have brought more awareness and innovation to the realm of makeup than surely any famous family in recent history. After all, where would our cheekbones be today without the wise sculpting secrets of Kim Kardashian West and the contouring master Mario, to say nothing of our now permanently matte pouts courtesy of Kylie’s Lip Kits. But now, the youngest Jenner is giving us a whole new body part to obsess over and meticulously apply makeup to: our ears.

No, your eyes do not deceive you. We just said ears. In the most recent video on her website and app, Kylie does one of her standard videotaped glam sessions with her makeup artist Hrush Achemyan, showing viewers how to get a smoky rock star eye. Things start off benignly enough with a basic lesson in how to shade and illuminate the reality star’s face. However, as Achemyan finishes up contouring her nose, Kylie interjects to say, “Oh yeah, I like when you do my ears.”

As insane as it sounds, Achemyan insists, “it’s a really good tip that a lot of people don’t do because it’s really not cute when you’re on the red carpet, or you get snapped and then your face is one color, and the ears are different. It shows the tone is not really your skin tone and you have on a lot of foundation. Just like your neck, your ears are a part of your face.” Guess it’s safe to say Kylie’s already broken that whole new year’s resolution about wearing less makeup and going for a more natural overall look in 2016. At least we’re not the only ones who couldn’t keep our word until the end of February.
