Kaia Gerber Joins Alexander Wang's Spring 2016 Model Squad: Is She Headed to the NYFW Catwalk?

02/08/2016 at 02:47 PM ET

Kaia Gerber has been making her ascent into the high fashion world slowly but surely. Cindy Crawford’s 14-year-old daughter eased into things with editorials in Vogue and Interview (you know, beginner stuff) then moved onto campaigns with a contract with Chrome Hearts and now, the biggest designer collaboration of her career — a spot in Alexander Wang’s Spring 2016 campaign.

On Monday, the brand revealed its spring 2016 model lineup in a new Instagram account, appropriately titled “Wang Squad,” featuring Polaroid-type snapshots of each model (including, of course, the rising model).

Gerber posted an accompanying video on her personal feed, which reveals more is slated to come in March 2016 (and will be visible on the new account).

Other models featured the campaign include Alexander Wang’s “bad girls club” Binx Walton, Anna Ewers, Lexi Boling and Hanne Gaby.

Since the label’s muses tend to glide down Wang’s runways (all four models mentioned above walked in the 2016 Spring RTW collection), here’s hoping Gerber makes her New York Fashion Week runway debut this month!

Did anyone think she will be pursuing a higher education??

Couldn’t his have waited until she was 16? I’m surprised at Cindy.

Just once I want to read that some celebrity offspring made it into medical school.

She will make way more money than any doctor.

Obviously didn’t make it on her own..There has to be something about her look that draws attention enough that you can’t stop looking which is what makes a good model. But sadly her look is nothing special. She’s pretty but not in a way that draws you in.

She is a pretty girl but, let’s face it, she’s getting her chance solely because of her mother. I can’t believe her mother would encourage it. The MAJORITY of models don’t live the healthiest life in order to keep the weight off.
