All the Celebrity Engagement Rings You Missed Over the Weekend in One Place
While the majority of us are only just starting to emerge from our post-New Year’s Eve, Netflix-encumbered hibernation, celebrity couples are already getting a head start on that “new year, new you” mentality on Instagram, jumping into 2016 with a serious commitment and showing off some pretty serious bling to go along with it.
Pitch Perfect co-stars Anna Camp and Skylar Astin announced their engagement yesterday on Instagram, posting an adorable candid shot of them both in their car complete with messy bed head, sunglasses, and huge smiles. The only thing more impressive than Anna’s perfectly French manicured nails is surely the large, cushion-cut diamond found just below on what appears to be a slim rose gold band. Turns out not only are these two certified songbirds, they’re also perfectly matched lovebirds.
And Anna was by no means the only actress making her love Instagram official this weekend. The Cosby Show‘s Rudy Huxtable, also known as Keshia Knight Pulliam, got in on the betrothal action as well posting a series of photos of her and her new fiancé, former NFL player Ed Hartwell. In a romantic shot of the couple kissing, Pulliam enthuses that she’s “#BlessedBeyondMeasure,” while flaunting her mega-watt, sparkling solitaire.
Duck Dynasty star Rebecca Lo Robertson also announced her and her boyfriend of one year, John Reed Loflin, would be starting a dynasty of their very own after Loflin popped the question while the two were out searching for shells on the beach. He proposed with a beautiful and unusual 14-carat gold Art Deco ring with a large opal in its center, which happens to be both Robertson’s birth and favorite stone. The two already have big plans for their future, aiming to get married this year and start their family right away.

What could be better than winning The Voice? How about the woman you love agreeing to marry you? Well, luckily for Jordan Smith, he gets to enjoy both after proposing to his girlfriend Kristen Denny on New Year’s Eve. The overjoyed couple posted a beaming selfie on Jordan’s Instagram account featuring Kristen’s ornate, antique ring. The 22-year-old singer punnily captioned the shot, “RINGING in the new year with my future wife. She said YES! #Mr&MrsSmith.” Sounds like Brad and Angie are in for some stiff couple competition.
Last but never least, Ryan Phillippe decided to tie the knot for a second time, proposing to his longtime girlfriend, law student Paulina Slagter, over Christmas. This should come as no surprise considering all the way back in April, Phillippe gushed to Howard Stern over his future fiancée claiming he was definitely not opposed to getting married again.
But not all of us can be so lucky as to lock down our soulmates for life as the clock strikes midnight on January 1. So for those of you who rang in this new year solo, may your 2016 be filled with many delicious, affordable, and endlessly replaceable ring pops instead.
