Justin Theroux Is Now Wearing an Earring (and Obviously Pulls It Off)

10/16/2015 at 06:07 PM ET

Just Theroux can make red carpet rocker work. He can also somehow make “winter from the waist down” acceptable in scorching summer months. And because of his recent outing sporting what looks like a hoop earring (it also looks a bit like a safety pin earring), he’s proven himself as an accessorizing genius.

Just like that time we found out he had a hot brother, Theroux debuted his piercing in the most stylish way possible. He complemented the new hardware with gold-framed shades, rings (including his gold wedding band), a watch and even an insect pin on his tie.

It also helps that he’s wearing a fitted suit (evening making a super skinny tie look more rocker than skater boy) to give his earring a sophisticated spin.

But we are talking about a guy whose accessory choices are a major topic of conversation (and have been noted by wife Jennifer Aniston). She told PeopleStyle, “He’s got a lot of hardware,” she said. “He wears a chain. He has a gold chunky ring. It won’t be a problem when we get married: He will be wearing his ring! It just won’t say ‘Justin’ anymore.”

Aniston also revealed it took her a while to get used to her ginormous engagement ring. “He rocked it up. It took me a while to get used to it. I’m not a diamond girl,” she said in an interview earlier this year. “I’m more Indian jewelry and stuff.”

We have a feeling Theroux will soon work his way up to sporting the double stud trend that has taken over the hottest stars in Hollywood (including Will Smith, David Beckham, Justin Bieber and Pharrell Williams). Because if anyone can make tricky trends fashionable, it’s the actor.

I’m not a fan of the earring, but overall he looks sharp.

At least he looks like he bathes, as opposed to Brad Pitt’s dirty greasy look.

He pulls it off? He SHOULD pull it off, it looks ridiculous. I saw him on Kimmel last night and gagged. YUCKI. And Jen is not a “diamond girl” — considering the cruelty associated with diamond mining, no one should be….give heirlooms (the suffering is done) or fake diamonds (though plastics and polymers are no one’s friend either) and gold? You want to talk about what gold mining does to the planet????? EEEEEK

He pulls it off??? I don’t think so. He looks like his suit is 3 sizes too small – not a fan of his style at all…. he needs to grow up and stop trying to look like a teenager. He should look like a Man, unless of course he doesn’t want to.

He looks great! Not a man-earring fan usually, but he definitely looks sharp. Lucky Jen! :)

Girliest “man” on the planet. This anorexic, anorexic, plucked, waxed fop is the least sexy human ever.

Not pulling anything off. I’m sure he’s a good-looking guy but looks ridiculous with the earring and stringy tie. A little overboard with the hair dye and plucked eyebrows too.

Looks like a man-child.

As someone else posted, this is a girly man for sure. It looks like he is earning and using his 15 minutes of fame simply by marrying Jennifer Aniston.
