CMA Awards 2014: Kacey Musgraves Has the Biggest Hair We've Ever Seen

We knew there would be a whole lotta hair happening at the CMAs (it is in Nashville, after all!), but we didn’t know all the hair would be in one place: on Kacey Musgraves’s head.

“I’m from Texas,” the country singer shared on the pre-show red carpet. “I love big hair — it’s full of secrets.”

And we’d really love to know how many (and what types of secrets) are stored in her crazy-teased mane. The CMA nominee said she knew the award show was the perfect event to rock such a bold do.

“This is country music. I mean come on, I had to,” she continued, laughing. Later, she joked, “Girl, I woke up like this!” and said her hair would cushion her in the event of a fall onstage.

She added that she loves to pull from the past when she’s picking her outfits for red carpet events.

“First of all, I’m really, really inspired by the ’60s, the fashion, the cars, the music. And tonight I’m kind of paying homage to what I’m performing.”
