Victoria's Secret Angel Lindsay Ellingson's Wedding Photos: See Them Here!

09/04/2014 at 08:00 AM ET

It’s not uncommon to hear that a bride looks like an angel on her wedding day, but it’s not often meant as literally as it was when Lindsay Ellingson wed longtime love Sean Clayton this summer. The Victoria’s Secret model (who has donned the famous wings in the line’s fashion show) got to put her practice walking the runway to good use when she walked down the aisle in Bluffton, South Carolina, July 12 — and they’ve shared the photos with Brides. Get an exclusive sneak peek, below:

With unlimited bridal gown options, Ellingson chose a romantic custom Sophie Theallet dress for her big day, with a romantic draped and asymmetrical back and bow details and a deep-V neckline. “It’s so special to wear a gown no one else will have,” Ellingson said of her wedding-day look. “Sophie knows how to make a woman feel beautiful.” She swept her hair into a shiny low bun and kept her makeup fresh and light (hello, “Wedding Plans” pinterest board).

In addition to posing with her Ceremony by Joanna August-clad bridemaids, Ellison got cozy with Clayton, whom she met at an album launch party in N.Y.C. “I turned around and saw tall, dark, and handsome,” she says, calling it “fate” when they ran into each other the next day and adding, “Sean is everything I ever looked for. I never thought I’d be so lucky.”

And it was a sentiment she felt strongly as she walked to meet her groom in front of about 85 guests. “Sean and I locked eyes as I walked down the aisle. It felt like we were the only ones there,” she says. But it’s fun to share the moment with them now.

Love the dress and the back detail. I’m not a huge fan of white/blush bridesmaids dresses though. I think she’s lost in the crowd in the pic with her bridesmaids.

The best thing about this article is how much she likes her husband. Adorable.

I agree with @C_in_Chi she does get lost with her bridesmaids I had to go back after reading C_in_Chi comment and realized that she was in the middle. Her dress was just lovely however it is quite simple if you are going to have bridesmaids wear blush then the brides dress has to step it up so it won’t get lost. Either way everything looks lovely and she looks happy which is what matters.

Love the front of the dress…the back not so much….

Well, I’m not a fan of the back, but it’s always nice to see a bride in something other then a strapless ball gown!

Love the easy and intimacy of their small wedding, wishing them many, many happy years together

Hope she binged and purged before putting on the dress.

Classy and elegant. She looks beautiful. Love the brides-made dresses were same pale pink material but different design to fit their body types.
