Gwyneth Paltrow's Hugo Boss Fragrance Ads: Get a Behind-the-Scenes Look!

It would be hard to have a better summer than Gwyneth Paltrow is having right now. She has been enjoying wide open spaces, cooking photogenic, fresh meals, launching her own boutique — and modeling in some gorgeous clothes for her latest Hugo Boss ads. We got an exclusive look at the behind-the-scenes images, and it looks like all that hydration is paying off — she’s as radiant in her off-duty moments as she is in the glamorous ad.

This is Paltrow’s third outing with Hugo Boss fragrances — she was sultry for Boss Nuit, sunny for Boss Jour and now is in fully glam CEO mode as the face of Boss Ma Vie, a scent about which she gushed to Elle UK, “It’s so personal and immediate; it smells different on everyone. When I wear it, it gives me a feeling and I just like that feeling.”

Added Paltrow in a statement to PEOPLE, “I love the concept behind the fragrance and that it represents a time to pause and take a moment. I have these moments every day where I think how beautiful life is. It’s those moments that are so simple and so pure, and that really connect you to your heart.” The perfume combines notes of cactus blossom accord, pink freesia and cedarwood for a scent that is inspired by “the independent spirit of a woman,” something that Paltrow knows something about. After all, she loves to mix up her fragrances depending on her mood, she tells Elle UK: “I’m drawn to an eclectic mix of scents. I wear different ones depending on my mood that day. I wear men’s cologne, really feminine florals, citrusy things and really musky woodsy ones too.”

And while we’re intrigued by the fragrance, we really wanted to know about her killer suit — designed by pal (and new Hugo Boss womenswear creative director) Jason Wu. “I think that every woman should have a black blazer or tuxedo jacket, because it’s so versatile and a really key staple piece in a wardrobe,” Paltrow says. “If it’s well tailored it’s so feminine while being a strong shape. I’m really happy that we’ve got a tuxedo for this campaign, I think it looks beautiful.” Adds Wu: “I like the idea of acknowledging the tailoring history of the company, but by really embracing the body, the feminine form. There’s nothing more chic and powerful than a tuxedo.”
