Justin Bieber Brings His Brand of Man Glamour to Cannes

For many young (and old!) Hollywood hunks, the Cannes Film Festival is a time to up your fashion game — think Ryan Gosling’s casual seaside cool, Channing Tatum’s relaxed chic or Ryan Reynolds shutting down the red carpet in white tie. And then there’s Justin Bieber‘s take on the event, which is done in his own inimitable style.

First up, we have Yacht Attire à la Bieber, which the singer wore to party on Roberto Cavalli’s luxurious boat. At a bash where the women were in sequins and heels and the men wore ties, Bieber interpreted the dress code to include a constrasting-sleeved denim jacket, a tie-dye sports jersey, baggy basketball shorts and some cool slip-ons, a nod to the boating culture in Cannes. A chain and a big smile completed the look.

Next up, Bieber wore what we assume is next year’s Met Gala theme: baggy board shorts with exposed Calvins, slip ons and, oh yeah, no shirt. This is what the French call très chic, right? Just kidding, though we will give Bieber points for working on his fitness. Marky Mark would be so proud.

At another swanky Cannes soiree, this one hosted by jeweler de Grisogono, Bieber brought a more elegant spin to his favorite leather harem pants with a blue leather button-up shirt and pristine white high tops. Those shoes probably aren’t what most people associate with “sparkle” at Cannes, but you can’t deny that they are dazzling in their own right.

And finally, Bieber attended the amfAR gala in the most surprising look of all: a Dolce & Gabbana double-breasted suit with sleeves that are either purposefully 3/4-length or have been rolled up, plus a skinny tie and totally normal shoes. While this is definitely a step in the right direction, the next time Bieber cleans up, we’d love to see some better-fitted pants (though we know a slim pair of trousers is his enemy, we believe he can power through).

What do you think of Bieber’s tour de pants in Cannes?

WTF,what Lil Biebs doing it in Cannes? This A-hole is NOT actor or a model,he is a wannabe raper!!!Lil Biebs is dumba$$!!!

Pam on

He looks dumb.

Janet on

God he needs to fire his stylist. Money doesn’t buy class and the Boob proves it.

Lisa on

The suit pants could be fitted better, but it is nice to see him in a more cleaned up look! Looking much better, Biebs.

I think it’s fine. Unless of course it’s now against the law to wear shorts. Cher? Kiss? Nicki Minaj? There are many celebrities who move to their own beat. Too many little cookie cutters around.
It’s OK Justin. Ignore the nasty mouth, harassing posters that are so excited to be able to spew their monotonous, childish trash at you!
Have at it kidlets!

Nicely said, Lisa.

Justin is trying to be left alone, to learn from past mistakes. Then he gets harassed for wearing…shorts?? Leave him alone gossip mongers.

Kristen on

Stupid outfits aside, why does he always have such a dumb look on his face? I swear, if his eyebrows were any more knitted, he’d only have one.

Tamarin on

This looks on his face always make me want to punch him so bad. What’s wrong with him??

Jester on

Why can’t I stop laughing, especially at the suit to the far right!?!?! Hysterical! Sorry, but he’s a short kid and these outfits just accentuate this fact even more.

That outfit is ridiculous. The pants are too tight and so is the jacket. He needs a new stylist! But at least he has clothes on.
