They don’t call her the queen of wardrobe recycling for nothing!

After debuting a week’s worth of new ensembles, Kate made her latest Royal Tour appearance in Christchurch, New Zealand wearing a red wool suit from Luisa Spagnoli that she first wore in 2011 to visit her alma mater St. Andrews (and to reportedly sign the condolence book there for the victim of the 2011 Christchurch earthquake).

At her most recent outing, the Duchess joined the city in a somber ceremony commemorating the earthquakes, then took the field to play a game of cricket (in heels!) at the city’s Latimer Square, then opened the new Christchurch botanical gardens by cutting a floral garland.

Kate showed the versatility of the suit, which she first wore with a turtleneck and boots, by adding pumps and pulling her hair back in a half-up do (a rarity for her). She purchased the belted ensemble from Hollie de Keyser, a boutique in London’s Knightsbridge.

“She looked stunning, and we are proud and flattered that a style icon for women of all the world like her has worn Luisa Spagnoli,” managing director Nicoletta Spagnoli told PEOPLE after Kate first stepped out in the suit in March 2011. “The color red is perfect for her brunette hair and pale skin.”

The Italian label is a family business that dates back to 1928. In 1962, actress Sophia Loren modeled for the company’s catalogue.

Are you loving this return to a favorite from Kate’s wardrobe? What would you like to see her rewear next?

I hate when magazines call this wardrobe recycling. “OMG! She wears clothes more than once and they look just as good the second time!!” She is normal. Not a surprise.

Glimmers of spring.

The sound of
the springtime
near a path full
of desires, the
matin serenity,
a delicate sadness
where the sunshine
outshines with
an inner recall.

Notice how the hem has been lengthened on the skirt….

@Victoria, you’re so right. It looks better shorter.

I hate that recycling word like it’s a big deal. No, it’s smart and conscientious and it’s what people should be like regardless of money or not. Why be so wasteful in a world so needy? Enough of this stupid chiming in about wearing something 2 times!!!

The jeans, blue blazer, wedges and striped top for the wine tasting was the three-peat repeat, People.

So, the style gurus go back three years to find the suit she wore once before, just so they can let the world know that she has worn it before. Yet, if she buys several new outfits to wear to what is essentially her job, she gets blasted for wasting money and being extravagant . Tough position to be in. The suit is beautiful, though.

On what planet would Kate ever be considered “pale”?

Her hem is longer now, too.
