Checked the closeup link and WOW — it is absolutely stunning. I thought it was a bit too ’50’s looking for my taste but when you see the closeup photo it’s just gorgeous — very pretty and solid-looking at the same time…yum!

Do these two ever really smile? I don’t think I’ve seen a picture with a full smile on either of their faces ever.

Thought I wouldn’t like it from the few pics I saw before, because it looked really chunky. But after clicking on the Sotheby’s link I am totally a fan. It is really stunning!

So classy. Leave it to the French to have the most fabulous taste!

Can’t at least one person get engaged without someone (People magazine) describing as putting a ring on it??? Life isn’t a Beyonce song.It just sounds like something some should say after someone gets knocked up and decides on a shotgun wedding. Anyone with class, elegance or maturity would hate to have their engagement described as such. She’s dainty and beautiful and her engagement announcement shouldn’t sound like she’s getting hitched at the trailer park. Congratulations Mary Kate and Olivier.

This ring is the prettiest ring I have seen in a long time. I think it suits her well because she and her sister are into that vintage, boho style. I also like how it is two different stones diamonds and saphires. I have an all diamond 3 stone engagement ring and my wedding bands are rubies (my husbands birthstone).

That guy she’s marrying is so creepy …. good luck, honey … you’ll need it.

Every time I see these girls all I can think is how lost they look. They both have this haunted look in their eyes, they’re so very thin and waif-like and I’ve hardly ever seen a picture of them looking happy as young adults. When I saw she was with this significantly older man, I thought to myself “Poor girl finally found herself a father-figure to take care of and protect her.” This is the product of working kids to death in Hollywood and never letting them have a childhood with any semblance of normality. Their parents made them rich…and miserable. Poor trade off.
