Happy Birthday Rihanna! We're Celebrating Your 27th Year With Three Pretty Dress Suggestions

02/20/2014 at 05:38 PM ET

We we’re having a hard time coming up with a post to celebrate Rihanna‘s 26th birthday. We wanted to do a throwback roundup of our favorite RiRi looks (this dress wins every time) or wackiest Instagram moments, but we bet you follow her and are up to speed on all that. Then we considered some gift suggestions — this faux leather skirt tops our list — but that’s all we came up with, because it’s impossible to buy for the girl who has everything (not to mention a steady stream of gifts from every designer known to man).

So we decided to come up with a list of things she should wear now that she’s officially entered her late twenties. We’re not suggesting she throw her bold style choices out the window, but in case she wants to tone it down a little (like maybe ditch the crazy prints and veils), we picked out three looks we’d love to see the star wear from fashion weeks in Milan, London and New York.

Starting with Milan, we’re completely obsessed with this oxblood fit-and-flare design (top left) that just hit the Gucci catwalk. The leather bodice gives the look some edge (and feels very RiRi), but the collar and and flounce on the skirt has a flirty vibe. And we know she would pair it with some game-changing shoes from her closet. Next, the high-waisted pencil skirt and white button-down crop top (yes, if you look closely you can it has midriff-baring appeal) from Barbara Casasola’s London show would look be a perfectly sophisticated — yet still sexy — look for Rihanna. And lastly, this girlie purple Diane von Furstenberg design would still allow the singer to show off her chest tattoo and d├ęcolletage, and we think the vibrant shade would be amazing on her.
