Pharrell Williams Hat

Music producer, singer … Mountie?

Pharrell Williams hit the carpet Sunday in a red leather Adidas jacket, jeans and an oversize vintage Vivienne Westwood brown hat — from the designer’s 1982-1983 Buffalo collection — that had us thinking the Grammy-nominated artist was considering a new career. Clearly, he’s not. He’s just showing off his love of chic headgear (or paying tribute to Malcolm McLaren’s 1982 “Buffalo Gals” video).

In his “Happy” video, Williams wore a natty straw fedora. And he often posts pics of his snazzy toppers on his Instagram account. He actually debuted his unique ranger-style hat a few days before in the fun photo below.

We think it’s kind of cool and different, but his “10 gallon hat” isn’t getting a great reaction on Twitter. It even spawned its own Twitter handle (@pharrellhat). Check out the funniest comparisons below.

I was waiting for him to say, “Only YOU can prevent forest fires.”

The hat that Pharrell was wearing is similar to the ones worn by the Buffalo Soldiers – 10th Calvary in the late 1800’s.

He looks like an idiot.

For someone as talented as Pharrell, he looked like a moron. But then again, so did Beyonce, Madonna and others.
