We were so busy admiring Natalie Dormer’s dramatic shaved do that we almost missed another major hair change on the SAG Awards red carpet: Sarah Paulson has a bob!

The 12 Years a Slave star chopped her shoulder-length straight strands into a chic short style that complements her face structure. She teamed her textured center-parted cut with a hot-pink lip. As for her dress, she selected a white Rochas design and finished the entire look with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

For the most part, Paulson loves getting ready for red carpet events, but the long string of award shows also takes its toll. “I love pretty dresses and hair and makeup and jewelry,” she told PEOPLE recently. “But then you’re on your feet man. Your shoes, they hurt so much. And it’s such a long night. And you’re hungry.”

What do you think of Paulson’s new cut?

I don’t like her hair in either photo. In the first, her hair looks like straw. I guess all that bleaching has taking its toll. In the second picture it looks like she cut her own hair without a mirror!

The cut may be okay, but no one looks their best with a middle parting. And hot-pink lipstick doesn’t suit her.

The blond washes her out …. Back to brunette, stat

She could have at least done something with it. That’s what my hair looks like straight out of the shower with no styling. Come on…you’re going to an award show-not picking up your kids from school.

I’m surprised her face can break into a smile … during the red carpet show I wondered what she had done to her face & why.

3% of women with long hair look good with a middle part. It’s too severe.

She would look sooooo much better as a brunette

I love it, but then I’ve been a bob lover for a long time. It’s a classic, timeless cut and is flattering to most women.
