It’s another new year, which means you’re probably doing one of two things: searching for the perfect item to buy with your Christmas money or promising yourself you’ll get back into the gym. Luckily, this week’s Best Dressed star, Rose Byrne, provides a little inspiration for both.

The actress made heads turn — and received the most love from readers — at a David Jones store event in Sydney, giving her refreshing take on the common black-and-white trend. From the wave-like pattern to the unique halter neckline, Rose’s dress had us completely in love. but we’re mostly obsessed with how good she looks in it. In fact, we’ve cancelled all of our weekend plans so we can spend the next 48 hours trying to get arms like hers.

Rounding out the top three were Eva Longoria in the perfect date night outfit (a hot pink mini with an oversized studded clutch by Saint Laurent) and Duchess Catherine, who once again proved she’s the reigning Queen of Coats in an Alexander McQueen tartan design and forest green fascinator at a Christmas Day service in King’s Lynn, England. (If the look seems familiar, it’s because she’s worn it before!)

Tell us: Which star deserved the top spot? And will you be buying anything similar to the top three outfits this weekend?

People Magazine-please stop perpetuating the idea that your female readers should emulate looking like these emaciated film personalities. Spend the next 48 hours trying to get arms like Rose Byrnes? Come on.

Honestly. She has thin arms. There is no muscle tone to them. I guess I’ll skip the gym and instead skip meals for the next month. Thin arms and muscle tone is healthy and worth envying.
