Jessica Simpson on Her Weight Loss Plan: 'When You See My Wedding Dress, You'll Know'

01/02/2014 at 09:00 AM ET

Jessica Simpson has been working hard to lose weight after giving birth to son Ace last June. And the busy mom is definitely on the right track. (Seriously, have you seen her in this LBD?) But her get-fit plan has one specific goal in mind: Slipping into her wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Eric Johnson.

“The new year will definitely bring on the wedding bells, which is exciting … I think it’s about time,” she shares in the above video, which features outtakes from her new Weight Watchers ad. “Knowing that I have the wedding coming up is an incentive to stay on Weight Watchers, count my points and stay in the gym. I mean, when you see my dress, you’ll know.”

Simpson attributes her recent success to Weight Watchers’ Simple Start program, which allowed her to “completely re-focus and jump back on track” with her health and fitness routine.

“For me, losing weight was ‘hashtag get started,’ because every week for me was a new week and a new goal and I need to re-encourage myself to have that drive we all have when we first get started,” she says.

And when it comes to New Year’s resolutions, Simpson makes sure to start small: “I think if you do set resolutions for yourself, it shouldn’t be something grand. I think it should just be about getting started on something and see if you can stick with it.”

Aside from feeling amazing in her wedding dress, the star also wants to get back her body confidence this year. “I’m just trying to feel good in a pair of jeans and T-shirt,” she explains. “I can’t wait to be able to feel just comfortable in my skin and know that I’m back to the person I’ve been before. I know this time I’m going to be so much stronger and so much more empowered, because I really earned it and I really got here, and took the steps to get here.”

Just watch, before the year is up this sex addict will be knocked up again and probably before the I do’s. Abd who wants to start the pool on how long this marriage will last (if it actually takes place) ? This guy is as much a gold digger as she is. He doesn’t work so we know who pays the bills and one of these days that will get old and so will his bedside manor.

I think it’s time for celebrities like her who have made the commitment to have children to take the step to become committed by marriage to the father of their children. Sorry but I’m a little old fashioned with my values.

So when she was heavier, she said she wanted people to leave her alone and that there was nothing wrong with it and she loved herself the way she was and had never been more confident. And now she wants to profit off of losing weight and says she wants to get to a place where she’s more comfortable in her own skin? There’s a word for that, and it rhymes it smopportunist.

She looks good in her 30s age though her face is little stiff on the video.

Psst Eric! Don’t sign the Preup. Make her pay you Spousal Support and Alimony. You’ll get away with it. Good Luck

Ok people…I have had 2 babies and gained more weight then I wanted…Its not about the dress or money…for women out there its about feeling good about yourself and your body…Jessica wants to feel good in her skin again. let it go…she is trying to inspire women to feel good about themselves and not just settle for whatever…I am happy to see that she didnt just jump into getting merried…most of the devorced celebs were with the other person for a few months before getting merried!! and to all those haters out there…don’t judge…God loves you too!
