From Rihanna to the Rest of Us: Bethenny Frankel Takes On the Belly Chain. But How Do You Feel About It?

Bethenny Belly Chain INF

It seems like just yesterday that Rihanna and Miley Cyrus were introducing us to the world of belly chains, flashing their abs underneath a hint of bling previously only seen on belly dancers and in the boudoir. But much like blue lipstick and whatever this is, we assumed this was a trend that was best left to the pros.

Well, Bethenny Frankel may be more fearless than the rest of us, because she hit the beach in Miami with a new boo and a new look: a delicate, sparkling belly chain of her own. She certainly works hard for those abs, and we can’t blame her for wanting to highlight them as much as possible.

And while we like Frankel’s bikini, commend her on her sun-smart, skin-shielding hat and give her major props for her commitment to fitness, we’re not sure we can sign off on the body jewelry for those of us who aren’t professionally provocative music-makers like Rih and Miley. Mostly because (if this is proof that Cyrus-approved trends trickle down to the rest of us two years later) that means we’re in for a world of pantslessness in 2015 — and we need to intervene early.

What do you think: Is it time for belly chains to reach the masses, or should this trend end quickly?

Too skinny – sorry! Look at the skin around her arm pits. If it wasn’t for the fake boobs she’d have no shape at all.
