Sofia Vergara Shows What $7 Million of Jewels Looks Like at the 2013 Emmys

Unlike Maria Menounos, whose massive necklace couldn’t distract us from the other interesting things going on with her look, Sofia Vergara’s unbelievable jewelry managed to steal the spotlight from her considerable assets (and that’s saying a lot).

RELATED: Even more Emmys coverage right here — don’t miss anything!

And can you really blame us? The star’s Lorraine Schwartz gems totaled 161 carats and added up to more than $7 million in major bling cha-ching. Those platinum earrings, set with rubies, sapphires and Colombian emeralds (a favorite of the star — and a nod to her home country!) weighed in at a whopping 100 carats.

To make sure her fingers didn’t feel left out, she added a 40-carat Colombian emerald-and-diamond ring and a 21-carat Asscher-cut diamond ring.

Well, now all that’s left to do is sit around and pray we’re reincarnated in our next life as Sofia Vergara.

What do you think of Vergara’s gazillion-dollar accessories?

Love the rings but don’t care for the earrings.

She looks pretty-and happy for that matter. Not my kind of thing personally. It’s fun to see people dressed up. I will take my jeans and cowboy boots though :)

7 million huh. I wonder how many people that could feed, or clothe, or house!

Whoever back in the day started the high prices on diamonds, emeralds, etc? It’s ridiculous, they’re just cut, polished rocks that come a dime a dozen and are plentiful. I own agate, turquoise, lapis, stones such as those anyway, they’re much prettier. I have diamond earrings, necklace, emeralds, rubies, mikimoto pearls but don’t even care to wear them, I’m not impressed with them at all, hubby thought I would be, but I’m not.

Less is more. Her dress is beautiful, but the earrings look gaudy. That 7 million could be much better spent elsewhere.

Sorry guys but she looks every “‘given” time the same : like a christmas tree. She could use a little better make up and hair do and …another dress style dress!

Wow this picture really highlights her small eyes.
I want the doctor who did her implants to fix my chesticle area. Such a good job.
They know how to do good work in South America and Miami

She was very gracious in the press room, I like her for that

Not my taste…..AT ALL! I like something more delicate-looking, not something that screams “look at me, look at me”! Plus, she should have done something with her hair. Like Jennifer Aniston, she always wears her hair long, hanging down, looking the same. So boring, and not so flattering.

I like that she is letting more of her natural blond color come through. She’s a big enough star now that she doesn’t have to dye her hair black and pretend to be Mexican to get parts.

@Footwork— it is in her contract on MF that her hair be brunette. She actually has to go darker when she films.

Send a piece of one earring so my son can pay his college tuition!! :-) I know it’s her money & she earned it, but there are cancer researchers who could never touch that kind of pricey stuff (not that they’d want to). Our priorities are so screwed up!
