For as much as those designer gowns cost, you’d think they’d reinforce the zippers on those things.

Chrissy Teigen found out the hard way that zipper strength isn’t always a top priority just moments before last night’s White House Correspondents Dinner.

The swimsuit model (and fiancée of John Legend) tweeted a sexy shot on Instagram of her black beaded dress peeling apart with the caption “Late for #whcd. Broke zipper. Any tailors in DC wanna sew me in?”

Apparently she had no takers, because she then Tweeted “Ay yi yi. Backup dress,” followed shortly by “Yes this also happened last year buttheads.” Next year, she may want to keep a tailor on retainer!

But luckily, supermodels don’t have to scramble for safety pins or sit the evening out like the rest of us — Teigen’s backup gown was just as stunning as her first choice, and best of all (in her words): “This one zipped.”

Once upon a time, people would only comfide to their closest friends about a wardrobe malfunction. Now, they leak the news themselves to a celebrity magazine (photo courtesy of Chrissy Teigen) for a few minutes of exposure (no pun intended). Her behavior appears a bit desperate.

FYI she is not a Victoria’s Secret model, she is a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. Also, so what if she tweets a photo of her wardrobe malfunction. It was tasteful. She is a celebrity. Part of her job is to get media exposure. She’s just doing her job. If you read People Magazine I don’t know why you would have a problem with this.

Ava Jones, you hit the nail on the head. Totally agree. SMH.

LOL!!! Her job? To send a pic of her dress falling off while posing on a patio like its a photo shoot? Yeah, I don’t think so. But keep on being naive.

And it seems everyone is a “celebrity” these days. It’s just thrown around much too loosely.

She didn’t submit the picture to People for a story. It was on her personal Instagram page.

Perhaps if she didn’t try to wear a size that stressed the zipper that much she wouldn’t have this problem…

This girl always seems like a desperate for attention, conniving tramp. I don’t even know what her personality is like, but the news on her always seems to be her trying very hard to be relevant, while coming across as a kardashian wannabe.

Who is this person anyway? Yawn

People can be so contradicting … why did you all take the time to look into this article if all your going to do is be negative. Apparently you just wanted dirt on a wardrobe malfunction because your jealous. I think she did a great job of turning what could have been a beauty queen meltdown into a sexy instagram.

Actually, she has posed at least once for Victoria Secret, at least according to info I’ve read about her.
