This Week's Best Dressed Star: Jamie-Lynn Sigler (And She's Pregnant!)

Most pregnant girls dread black tie affairs. For starters, they can’t hit up the open bar. Plus, “formal” and “maternity wear” weren’t really meant to live in the same sentence.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler, however, isn’t most expectant moms. The star, who’s having a son with fiance Cutter Dykstra, looked absolutely stunning in this sequined Pamella Roland design, complete with sheer sleeves and a plunging neckline.

Sidebar: Once we ate a bagel with cream cheese before heading to a friend’s wedding and our “bagel bump” was bigger than the actress’s baby bump.

The dress, which she wore to the “What a Pair!” benefit concert in Santa Monica, Calif., earned over 30,000 votes of approval as of close of polls Friday afternoon, enough to beat out all of the other stars who hit the red carpet this past week.

Amy Poehler, also in a sparkly black number, came in second place with nearly 30,000 votes. (We attribute your enthusiasm for this look to her new pink streaks.)

Gwyneth Paltrow took the third spot in a chic white dress with a black waistband at the Iron Man 3 photo call in Munich, Germany.

See the rest of the stars who made the 10 Most Loved Looks of the Week list (including Gwyneth in another black-and-white look).

Do you think Sigler looks as fantastic as everyone else does? If not, who do you think deserved the top spot this week?

That’s not a bagel in there. It’s a McDonalds cheeseburger and fries.

I know it’s supposed to be funny, and maybe even flattering, to say the whole bagel bit, but I know when I was pregnant I loved when I started to show, knowing my body was growing a baby. To say she just looks like some people do after eating a bagel is kind of insulting. She definitely looks pregnant, and very lovely.

The headline on the front page is so body-negative. Take it down.

No this isn’t what we all look like after eating a bagel.

Can’t we just admire her pretty dress without commenting about her body?

The “sidebar” comment in this article is nothing more than a cheap dig about a woman’s body. Leave her alone. As a thinner woman, and one who’s had 2 pregnancies, I am constantly receiving comments about how I look. Usually in the form of these semi-compliments about how thin you look, how small your baby bump is, etc. All it is is more commenting on how women are “supposed” to look, and it is just as annoying at digs about a woman being overweight. I know people mean these types of comments as compliments, but as one who’s been on the receiving end of them, it often just feels like more unwanted commentary on a woman’s body size and shape. Even more annoying when the comments come from strangers, who feel compelled to comment on your body and what size it “should” be without knowing anything about you, your health, your eating habits, etc.. Men are not subjected to this constant critique of whether they are the “right” size or not, let’s stop doing it with women, even celebrities.

I mean we could note her baby bumb, but why the comparison to other women’s bodies? Why use a post about a pregnant women to body snark?

Sal on

You people need to calm down. They’re not insulting her, they’re complimenting her. Other than her stomach, she hardly looks pregnant.

Sarah on

They’re not insulting her, they’re insulting other women. That’s the whole point.

Here’s a way to think about it. If you’re about to make a comment about a woman’s body, stop and think: would you make the same comment about a man’s body?

I don’t know who wrote this article, but if you look like this after eating a bagel with cream need to go on a serious diet.

The bagel comment is so not funny. I wish the writers at People would stop trying to be comedians and actually write decent stories. Every feeble attempt to make a joke is just embarrassing. Give it a rest.
