Gwyneth Paltrow: 'I Won't Do Botox Again ... I Looked Like Joan Rivers!'

Gwyneth Paltrow‘s life is all about balance these days. She’s balancing her movie career with her business ventures. Being a mom with finding time for herself.

And, she confesses in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar, “finding the balance between cigarettes and tofu.”

The healthy-living queen, who admits in her revealing interview that she treats herself to one cigarette a week, also owns up to mixing high-tech skincare with organic products.

But when it comes to more than just laser treatments, she’s still hesitant. “I would be scared to go under the knife, but you know, talk to me when I’m 50. I’ll try anything. Except I won’t do Botox again, because I looked crazy. I looked like Joan Rivers!”

Paltrow also says she’d love to move from the artsier films she’s known for to an “outrageous girl comedy” — not least of all, we assume, because she doesn’t have to get in the superhero shape necessary for her skin-baring scenes in Iron Man 3.

Not that it’s such a challenge, though: “There are certain requirements, but luckily I have a good base because I work out often,” she says. “I just had to not eat pasta and french fries the night before shooting– which I’m terrible at doing.”

For lots more candid conversation from the star — including how Jay-Z has inspired her and whether she’ll have another baby — visit and pick up the new issue, on stands April 23.

Sorely disappointed in Ms. Paltrow. I wouldn’t consider a cigarette a week a “treat.” And she’s touting a health message? That’s like saying I, as a vegetarian, treat myself to one piece of meat a week. Doesn’t work that way, Gwyneth!

Am so over her and her ‘recommendations’ –

She reeks of desperation. What is she trying to prove in these interviews? In one interview she says she is gluten-free and then in this once she has to resist eating fries and pasta the night before? Quit trying so hard it makes people like you LESS. Just accept the fact you are weird and move on.

Healthy living queen? Hypocrite. Healthy living does not in my book allow an exception for one cigarette a week, injecting poison into my face and depriving my kids of esssential nutriets or living on nothing but raw food. This woman is a baked good. I’m tired of these celebs preaching their so called wellness on everyone and then making exceptions for themselves and expecting us to buy into it. Go away Goopy Gwyneth.

French fries and pasta the night before a shoot? Wha? Isn’t she trying to promote a healthy-living book that doesn’t include these white starches?

@guest Her kids get that 1 Oreo a week though – she is definitely a ‘normal’ Mom *eyeroll* *hands my kid his 4th for the day*

I thought she said they are ‘carb free’? It is this just her kids? It seems pretty unfair that she’s scarfing down pasta, while her kids are having a salad.
And for all her health advice, she’s a smoker? I would rather stuff my face with carbs any day then smoke a cigarette. I’ve never seen a bigger hypocrit. She should stop handing out advice & take care of herself first.

“Healthy living” and then following up with one cigarette a week? Yeah. That’s healthy. And she wonders why the majority of the world thinks she’s a self-centered moron.
