Oscars Gowns: The Five Best Dresses According to Celebrity Stylist Jen Rade

02/25/2013 at 09:00 AM ET

When it comes to great red carpet dresses, we trust superstar stylist Jen Rade’s opinion. After all, she’s put Angelina Jolie in some of her most memorable gowns and made Jada Pinkett Smith look smokin’ hot. Below, the stylist and TJ Maxx brand ambassador shares her five favorite dresses from Sunday night — and why she loves them.

Jessica Chastain in Armani Privé: “The dress was the perfect tone for her skin and her lip color was great,” Rade tells PEOPLE. “Everything about her look was classic Hollywood glamour.”

Halle Berry in Atelier Versace: “This was a super sexy dress, yet it had sleeves, which is hard to do,” Rade shares. “I love the lines and the way it shapes her already insane body — a perfect homage to Bond Girls. It’s like armor and super hot at the same time!”

Stacy Keibler in Naeem Khan: Says Rade, succinctly: “The gorgeous beading and details were amazing.”

Zoë Saldana in Alexis Mabille: “This was the perfect combination of fashion and artistry,” Rade says of the star’s elegant, detailed gown.

Charlize Theron in Dior Haute Couture: “I mean … perfect simplicity!” Rade gushes. “The epitome of less is more. Her hair with that white structured dress was absolutely gorgeous!”

And her bonus pick for best dressed? Naomi Watts in an Armani Privé that we adored too.

“The trends on the red carpet rocked,” Rade notes. “We saw lots of sequins, beading and embellishment, which are fun ways for everyone to add a bit of glamour into your everyday life. T.J.Maxx is my go-to for finding designer fashion for less and best of all, there are so many quality pieces to choose from so you can really bring out your personal style.”
