We all know Tabatha Coffey, Bravo’s sharp-tongued Aussie style pro, from her stint on Shear Genius and her latest hit, Tabatha Takes Over. And now, she’s bringing her talents online, joining us at PEOPLE StyleWatch once weekly to dish on some of the bestand worst — celebrity looks of the week. Keep in mind the opinions below belong solely to the stylist … though she’s probably saying what lots of you are thinking, anyway!

Today, she takes on Christina Aguilera, who chose this Grecian Pamella Roland creation for Sunday’s American Music Awards

Raise your hand if you think I’m going to be ruthlessly critical and judgmental about Christina Aguilera at the American Music Awards. Okay, now put those hands down because you’re all wrong. She gets enough negative comments and reviews as it is and I’m not going to play into that kind of behavior.

Christina often faces criticism about her curves from the media, something I find to be unacceptable and beyond inappropriate. What I love is how she embraces her voluptuous physique. It’s as if she is telling the media to go f*ck themselves.

I must say this dress is absolutely perfect on her. The ombré color is flattering and the nip at the waist really draws the eye in. The halter is also a smart move because it helps elongate her. Overall the dress accentuates her in all the right places. The clutch is a great match, but I’m not totally thrilled with the shoes. Don’t get me wrong, I like the shoes, but not so much with this actual dress.

As far as hair and makeup go I have just a couple of things I’d like to say. I adore her bob and I think it looks amazing, but I’m just not loving it with this dress. I feel like there is a bit of a disconnect between the two looks. Maybe it’s because the dress is so Grecian and this hairstyle evokes a different period and time.

And her tan is just a bit too “orange-y” for this hair color and I find it a bit off-putting. On a more positive note, I think her makeup is the perfect palette, especially those lavender eyes with bold, black lashes. Overall I’ll give her an 8 out of 10.

I agree with most of what Tabatha says, she’s a tough critic and all but if u get an 8 out of 10 from her, can consider yourself fashionably lucky. Christina looked stunning overall and she sets out a great example for all curvy women. If 40 is the new 30, then Curvy is the new SEXY!

Okay, so am i reading this right? She likes the dress, the hair, the make up and the shoes, but just not all together? She should be judging her overall, and overall Tabitha doesn’t like everything together; yet she still gives an 8 out of 10? She’s becoming soft. I’m sorry, I like Christina but this look is horrible. She reminds me of a white Nicki Minaj.

I like everything but the shoes.

Nobody cares that she gained weight. The problems come when she wears clothes that do not flatter her figure.

Soft? I don’t think Tabatha is getting “soft.” I think more than anything she is honest, something you rarely see in the media. I agree with everything she had to say. I also think this is the first time Christina is actually wearing something that flatters her shape.

Cristina looks beautiful in that dress and with that hair style…..a little over weight, but in all she is just glamorous.

I agree with Tabitha for the most part. Her curves are very sexy & she is a beautiful woman…but the hair & shoes arent bringing that dress out..but she still looks good

I think she looks beautiful. No fat at all that word should not even be in the same sentence with her name. Those of you who say she’s fat get a life and get out of hers. I agree the haircut bob does not fit the dress maybe a updo would of been glam! But Christina you are not fat & dont bother listening to these fools that say you are, simply jealous!
Embrace what god has given you. And thank you for standing strong w/your curvs you show all women who have curves to embrace, GOOD men love women w/a curvy body…I’d rather have a curvy body then a look like a board.

She looks like some Egyptian something or other.

I agree, she looks great, I do wish she would lighten up on the tanning and make up, it’s to gaudy(sp?) for me.. but I am from the school of you should never look like the make up is wearing you..
