Anne Hathaway Will Be Keeping Her Pixie Cut

Anne Hathaway didn’t have a choice about chopping her shoulder-length hair and adopting a super-short crop: her role in Les Misérables called for the severe ‘do. But don’t expect the actress to start growing out her hair just because the film has wrapped.

“I love the short-haired lifestyle,” Hathaway says in the December issue of Vogue. “I’m turning 30, and — I hope this isn’t obnoxious to say — I feel prettier, and much more myself. I guess I just feel much more satisfied with less now.”

Something else the actress felt beautiful in? Her custom ivory-and-pink Valentino wedding dress. Hathaway ended up loving the gown, but says that during the start of the design process, she and Valentino weren’t seeing eye-to-eye. “I begged him during the first fitting to make the train detachable. He looked at me and said, ‘But it is a dress, not a costume.'”

Hathaway ended up taking the designer’s advice — and is glad she did. “He somehow read my mind and designed the dress that I’d always wanted,” she shares. Non-detachable train and all.

Her hair looks wonderful on her….glad she’s keeping it.

That vogue cover is horrible! She looks like a man.

This is random, but I was at a LIVE taping of SNL this weekend. Her voice is out of this word, she’s spectacular! Not only just that, but she was kind enough to stop and sign autographs, even though her body guard was rushing her.

I think you need smaller features for this cut. And while she’s attractive she’s not a sexy beauty by any stretch. Huge eyes, overpowering brows, large nose, wide lips and tremendous teeth. Her hair was kind of an important part of her package. It balanced out the face and softened her look.

Sorry – I liked her in long hair
short makes her look older

Grow it out. Anne is a beautiful woman but short hair does not look the best on her.

Totally agree with you Heather. Also, before anyone starts labeling you a hater I think pointing out her large features is factual. It doesn’t mean she’s not pretty, it’s just that her long hair balanced them out and made the whole package more attractive.

Yes BBB, forgot to add I’m not a hater! And I’m not a beauty. But I am oddly attractive and also have porcelain white skin and dark, dark hair. It’s a very specific look that a short do does nothing for. It makes anyone with this stark, contrasting coloring look very masculine.

I think she should do whatever she wants to do ,and what makes HER happy!

Nope, it’s her hair. If she wants short hair, she can! =) People can do whatever they want with their own hair.
