Four more years with President Barack Obama in the White House means … four more years of amazing fashions from Michelle.

The First Lady exercised her right to look stylish after the polls closed Tuesday night, wearing a pintucked magenta silk chine Michael Kors dress (she’s a fan of the designer), House of Lavande Vintage brooch and black shrug for her husband’s acceptance speech in Chicago. And in true Michelle fashion, she chose a dress she’d worn — twice — before.

“She said that she was so busy with the campaign and their kids that she had no time to think about an outfit and decided at the last minute,” an Obama source tells PEOPLE.

Michelle first wore the dress to a White House holiday part in 2009, wearing it again for a military event in November of 2010, according to the Huffington Post.

“Mrs. Obama looked chic and elegant as always on election night,” Kors says in a statement. “My dress, with its strong color, clean lines and feminine silhouette, has all the elements that have become a part of the trademark style of our First Lady.”

Four years ago, the then-new FLOTUS made her first major style statement in a black-and-red Narciso Rodriguez sheath (daughters Sasha and Malia were color-coordinated with mom). It’s been fun to follow her fashions since then — everything from H&M frocks and Tracy Reese stunners to Naeem Khan gowns and Isaac Mizrahi creations. And we especially can’t wait to see what she wears to the inaugural ball in January — it’ll take a lot to top that Jason Wu dress. Tell us: What did you think of Michelle’s election day dress?

To all the people with negative things to say about the Obama family get over it he is our president. The same way I got over it when I had to deal with Bush for 8 years. Your negative comments only shows how ignorant many people in the world still are today. Don’t let your negativity and hate comsume you!

So tired of hearing about her style and toned arms – she’s over rated! Just glad she finally wore something with sleeves.

Mrs. Obama has always looked classy to me,she always carries herself with dignity and grace. When you speak ill of someone you should check yourself for flaws first, before you cast the first stone.

@Guest … it amazed me how people are ignorant about the fact the First Family pays for the their clothes. This has been disclosed time and time again for years. Prior to the White House, the Obamas had successful careers and are more than able to carry that expense. I would much rather have Obama in office that the alternative, which as a woman who have set us back 200 years. People forget that Obama took over a country that was neglected by the Bush administration. Its not a popular job to rebuild an economy, and I think its high time that he be given some credit, because at the end of the day, the people have spoken.

Every first lady has had a designer! I have a feeling you would all find a reason to complain no matter what she had on! more years! Yes!! So happy Obama won!

Love Michele Obama, but not a huge fan of this dress. I remember thinking the same thing the last time she wore it (and I’m happy she recycles). As for Ann “I Was So Close to Being Pres…err, First Lady” Romney, she wears Oscar de la Renta–alllll the time. So Republicans, before you throw stones….

Congrats, Mr. President. FORWARD!

Most people slamming the First Lady’s wardrobe couldn’t care less what she wears; they’re just bitter that the POTUS got re-elected. And I’d guess there’s a tinge of racism in there. … get over it. FOUR MORE YEARS
