Emily Maynard may have paused briefly before accepting now-fiancé Jef Holm’s proposal on The Bachelorette — but it was probably because the Neil Lane ring he selected was that breathtaking.

Holm got down on one knee in Curacao on Sunday night’s finale, presenting Maynard with a 3.5-carat sparkler. The ring, handmade, features a 2.5-carat emerald-cut diamond accented with 87 smaller round-cut diamonds.

“I never in a million years thought I’d be so in love as I am,” Maynard said as she awaited Holm’s arrival in anticipation of a marriage proposal.

When he arrived, Emily told him that the long road to the finale “was all worth it … You really are everything that I’ve looked for for so long. I really do feel like you’re my soul mate. You are the perfect person for me. You get me better than anybody ever has. I love you so, so much.”

“I’m so in love with you,” he replied. “I promise you if you let me into your life and Ricki’s life you will never feel lonely ever again.”

Check back with tomorrow to hear even more details on Maynard’s gorgeous new ring!

Anything is possible… not worth being caddy or pessimistic. I wish them the best. I think he is a great guy who appears to have his head on straight. I was impressed that from the start he always included her daughter in his thoughts. She doesn’t need the money.. she was taken care of by Ricki’s family after his death. I hope it works so that everyone realizes that you can find love in the strangest of places and circumstances.

Emily, what on earth are you thinking girl. This guy you have chosen is much to young and inexperienced to step up and be a father to Ricki. You need a man, not a boy, someone at least 35 years old, who has already been married and has children, one who knows what life is all about but most of all knows that raising children is not always fun around the pool. This guy has his mind in the bedroom and will do or say anything to make you believe in him. Sorry Emily but this will never work, less than six months and the problems will begin. Wake up girl and face reality. What about the Mormon parents, do you really think they will accept you? I don’t beleive so. I am so sorry but your road to realizing the truth will be long and hard.

Let’s see how much IN LOVE they really are now that all the free stuff is gone……..the size of the ring is truly not important and if they break up does she get to keep it?

Why do women need door knobs for rings?

So i disagree that they could truely be in love. my husband and.i were engaged two weeks after dating and have been married 10 1/2 yrs. so it is possible. just say congrats people. u can love someone from the minute u meet. im living proof.

Rick should be ashamed of himself….but on to something actually “worth” talking about. I too have doubts about this relationship lasting..but I hope to be proved wrong. I would love to see it last, especially for Ricki’s sake
