It’s that time of the week again to rehash what we’re loving — and not loving — on the red carpet. Some stars tried brightly colored dresses, some donned sexy shoes, and most every celebrity brought her fashion A game this week (for the most part). So let’s break down what’s hot — and what’s not:

Up: Citrus orange dresses: If you haven’t heard, orange is the color of the summer. Freida Pinto was electric in the popular hue in a Raoul shift dress and beige Roger Vivier heels. Other starlets who recently went to the bright side? Victoria Beckham, Demi Lovato and Jennifer Lawrence.

Up: Delicate ankle-strap kicks: Apparently, Kim Kardashian knows how to to add sex appeal to any outfit. Kanye West‘s lady adds a sultry touch to her high-fashion frock thanks to her strappy illusion pumps.

Down: Day bags for night: We understand the need for a large purse — a girl has a lot of junk to carry around — but there’s no excuse to carry such a big sack on the red carpet, like Kelly Rutherford did. A chic clutch or chain-link cross-body bag surely is big enough to fit the essentials.

To study up on the other trends we’re loving, take a look back at our thoughts on hair accessories, sheer panels and plunging necklines.
