She’s done it again! Katy Perry changed her hair color for the umpteenth time last week, adding extensions and dying her strands a dark purple.

“Somehow in the middle of all this… I found time to change my hair color… Finally… #takeaguess #foreverawalkingpantonepalette,” she Tweeted Thursday. Perry debuted the look at the DETAILS @ Midnight bash at the Coachella music festival in Indio, Calif., over the weekend.

It’s been quite a year for Perry’s hair; the singer ditched her black strands last June, going red for a short while, making a pit stop at blonde (her natural color) and then going lavender. But by December, she started transitioning back to blonde … only to try blue in January.

Sure, such coloring can take a toll on delicate hair, but Perry’s stylist, Rita Hazan, insists her client takes good care of her mane. “I know she does [at-home conditioning treatments], because she always calls me and asks me to send her more product,” Hazan told PEOPLE in December. “She takes it seriously because she likes to keep her hair healthy. It doesn’t just stop at the salon — it has to continue at home, too, and she understands that.”

Perry definitely pulls off this hue — is there any color that doesn’t work on her? — but we wonder what she’ll try next. As Hazan said, “She’s Katy Perry — she can do anything at any moment.” Tell us: What hair color should Perry try next?

Seriously..who says she’s too old? When did we stop living our life and live by the standards other people who we’ve never even met want us to. If she wants to dye her hair, go for it! I wish I could do the fun colors. I’m 23 and yet, if I did, I’d get called out that I’m immature and need to grow up…because of the color of my hair. I wonder if you judge a book by it’s cover? Maybe that is why so many adults are depressed…they can’t do fun things anymore because we forget we only have ONE life to live…so be happy!

her roots aren’t showing like they did with the blue, which is a plus

I love it!! I’m a natural brunette but have been dying mine blond for maybe 20 years now and don’t see anything wrong with it, also she is pop star so that makes a difference.

Doesn’t look like she’s taking the divorce well…she looks HORRIBLE!!!! Next thing you know she will be shaving her head and wielding an umbrella at photogs like Britney when she had her meltdown.

Katy, go for coloring hair anytime as long as her job approves. She is musican.
After 50, I decided to bleach 4-5 inches hair ends out and will try to put one colors of hair strips since it it temporary colorings. And have a couple of tattoos. Touch of youth fountain and move on even aging….

I think Katy is pretty cool, love the colors, but on the flip side, it does bother me that the media and news outlets report things in this city that have absolutely no merit nor value in the world we live in outside of Los Angeles- where people are starving, being beaten daily, our economic climate and other things that really do make this article and whoever took the time to write an entire page about one’s hair color, seem like an idiot, or rather, an editor who’s obviously got nothing better to ask his or her department to come up with more interesting news. I’m so tired of gossip magazines, do we really need this kind of ‘education’ in our faces every day? I’m certain I’m one of many who feels this way. I’d prefer to read about important things!
