What’s the cost of beauty?

For Jennifer Aniston, it’s a whole lot less than you may have heard.

The Wanderlust star tells PEOPLE she can only laugh about reports sweeping the Internet that she runs up an $8,000-a-month tab for her beauty regimen.

“Although I am a sucker for an amazing moisturizer, love a great facial, have been using the same cleansing bar since I was a teenager and have always been a dedicated tooth-brusher, reports that I am spending eight thousand a month on a beauty regime are greatly exaggerated,” she says.

So what’s the true total? “By my tally,” she shares, “this month I’m in for about two hundred bucks.” Tell us: How much do you spend on beauty products each month?

she really is a natural beauty, and wed all look gorgeous if we had 200 (or 8g) a month to spend on all the stuff…ahhhhh…what a lovely life it would be….oh well,.. one can dream…lol…

Will this loser ever go away? She responded to this???? Geez a little too much time on her hands? Googling herself too much? This shallow, fake bake, wanna be star should retire and give it a rest

Really? What is wrong with this woman? She spends hundreds on her hair and stylist alone and why shouldn’t she? (she needs the help) but saying she spends $200 is ludicrous – we all know how much a good hair cut and dye/hairlights cost alone- gosh she will do anything to get a little press

Sarah i’m with you, it’s well known this woman cares a LOT about what the media thinks of her. She’s just so blatantly insecure it’s so sad. I can’t blame her growing up with that mother of hers who was beautiful and criticized her daughter’s looks but still. Get over yourself. You’re nothing but beige paint (like i heard on the Apprentice)- so own it!

Ugggh, reading the posts is so frustrating. First, b/c when I truly don’t care for someone I don’t read the articles and don’t bother to comment. I keep the negativity to myself. But mostly because of all the misperceptions and assumptions! $200 is totally logical! But you also have to think about all the freebies she gets, plus all the studio’s pay for her to get taken care of too! On set, the cuts and colors are going to be taken care of. And who knows what else. Celebrities really do get so much for free.

But regardless, she is in the entertainment business. It’s her job to take amazing care of herself. It’s her livelyhood! Even if it was 8k (which for LA prices, isn’t even that much!), that would be totally plausible. She can afford it, plus look at her side of it – she has all these crazies constantly commenting on her every word, outfit, shoe, bag and line on her face!!! What do you expect her to do? Uggggh, you judgmental women make me insane.

$200?????? Are you kidding? I get a bottle of Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap every 4 months, condition my hair with 50/50 apple cider vinegar and water, deep condition with Yes-to-Carrots, and use a witch hazel/rosewater toner…oh, and mascara and lipstick. $200 is WAY too much to spend on a beauty regimen monthly.

Can’t wait til she gets invited to the white house to discuss her beauty regime with the president and first lady – they have probably been trying to get her there forever

I’d rather pony up the $200.00 than walk around smelling like a salad bar.
