Kris Humphries isn’t the only member of his family with a cool job: his older sister, Kaela, just inked a deal with FORD Models’ FORD + division, which specializes in plus-size talent.

“The division that brought you Crystal Renn, Ashley Graham, Candice Huffine and Marquita Pring among others is excited at the prospect of bringing this beautiful, engaging young woman to markets worldwide,” the agency said in a release. “A true size 16-18, Kaela will be in a league of her own.”

The Minnesota native made her runway debut in the fall, walking in the over-the-top Richie Rich show during New York Fashion Week. She also appeared on Kim & Kourtney Take New York, and the recent CW semi-reality show Remodeled.

“There’s a word that I can’t stand, this world ‘plus-size’ model,” Paul Fisher, a longtime modeling agent featured on Remodeled, told Zap2It earlier this year when asked about Humphries. “Kaela, they call her a plus-size model. I don’t even know what this word plus means. She’s normal. She’s perfect. She’s beautiful.” Tell us: Are you excited to see more from Humphries?

Yah missy! that’s messed up! she is absolutely beautiful, and you don’t have to be “skinny” to be beautiful. Go Kaela!!!!

It is so sad to see so many people writing negative comments and trying to one-up each other on the skinny versus fat debate. How about we are all unique, all bring something different to the table? Wouldn’t this world be boring if we were all the same size/shape? The people who are questioning the size of Kaela most likely have issues with their body image as well. Why would you CARE what someone else looks like, what size they were, unless you are not comfortable in your own skin? As someone who has recovered from an eating disorder, I used to constantly compare myself to other women, making fun of their bodies as compared to mine. I had a POOR body image and would only make myself feel better by comparing myself to them. Now, I can appreciate all sizes and shapes and no longer feel the need to berate or criticize someone else’s body in order to feel better about my own. Maybe it’s time to look at yourself and start dealing with your own issues instead of attacking others.

I think she is stunning. Kris and Kaela seem to be well grouned and hopefully she will continue to model and be a happy camper.

I’m fat myself, and it’s true — it’s about what’s “healthy.”
This beautiful girl is NOT a 16-18, and as much as I “hate” to agree with the negative comments —– even a 16-18 is NOT healthy, and this girl HAS TO BE much more than that, I know from my own size.
Models shouldn’t be too skinny — NOR TOO FAT. This is not a good role model and it’s not good to tell this gorgeous girl that it’s ok to be 6 sizes too fat. WE AMERICANS HAVE TO GET HEALTHY, EAT HEALTHY AND LOSE WEIGHT — it’s ridiculous.

Size 16-18 is very normal! a lot of guys would rather have a bigger woman than a skinny stick that would be easy to break in half.

good for her…!!!! dont let people bring you down

There’s no shame at all in the term “plus-size”. It’s just a term to describe something other than the beanpoles you traditionally see. What’s the alternative? Minus-size?

Good for her, she is very pretty and We need more plus sized models. I’m very happy for her. You go girl!!!!!!!!

So disappointed in the shallowness of America. She is beautiful, and scientifically speaking it’s not the weight it’s the level of fitness that is the true marker for health. Do your research before making unintelligent comments. You can most certainly be “overweight” and healthy.
