What do teenagers love? According to 14-year-old Lourdes Leon, it’s fresh and fruity scents, dramatic nail polish colors and of course, pretty party dresses.

The budding designer, who oversees Macy’s Material Girl line with mom Madonna, recently unveiled the latest offerings for the brand, including more denim, party dresses, outerwear, lingerie and makeup.

“I really like the vanilla body lotion,” she told PEOPLE while experimenting with some of the beauty buys. “It smells really good, fresh, like you just rubbed vanilla essence all over you … which is good!”

Another favorite? Labyrinth nail enamel. “I think it’s cool,” she said of the sheer, sparkly polish she was sporting that day. “You can wear it to school without it being overly bright, which is nice.”

But more than anything, the high schooler loves seeing her line grow. “I like when everything is done and I get to see it, and I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s cool,'” she explained. “This is a fine finished product, and it’s going in stores. I like to see what it looks like at the end.” Look for expanded Material Girl offerings to hit Macy’s stores this fall.

I dont know why non celebrity people are always saying that they (celebrities) arent allowing their kids to be kids. Not everyone lives the same way, and their children have opportunities other children dont. This is the world she grew up in, and this is the lifestyle she is comfortable in. This is not to say either is better or worse then the other, just different. A Norman Rockwell upbringing doesnt necessarily mean a great person was developed.

Ho Hum … success at 14 thanks to mommy. Why even bother with school anymore, eh?

At least she wants to work, even if her mom has opened up avenues for her. So many teenagers these days just assume everything should be handed to them and that they don’t have to earn it. It is refreshing to hear a story of a teenager who wants to work hard, especially when she can be given everything without working for it.

Thank god she is dressed tastefully! She looks like a teenage girl. So many teenagers today dress in mini dresses and look like hookers. She’s very cute. Looks just like her mom (and I see a strong resemblence to her dad also). Cute girl!

One has to be proud of this young girl. She seems to have ambition and wants to do something with her life. I hope she has success and doesn’t go the way of drugs and alcohol like so many young people today.

Love her! She reminds me of Ivanka Trump. Yes, she had help from her mom, but she has instincts that you can’t teach. Lucky girl, but driven!!

Can’t stand her eyebrows, can’t stand her mom.

Carly I agree. That was well said and I also want to see what she will do in her coming years. She will grow into a beautiful woman. She seems driven and confident and smart. I don’t think Madonna would let her daughter get into drugs and alcohol since I read she doesn’t let her kids watch tv. Keep it up girl and have a happy life.

I think she will be as screwed up as her crazy mother. Product of the environment . She is a beautiful girl but she needs to just be a kid. Mom is handing everything to her.

Yes. It is extremely inappropriate for a fourteen year old to be designing lingerie. I am not uptight and I have been around, but it is not the right message to send 14 year old girls or boys
