It’s true: Desperate Housewives’ gorgeous star Eva Longoria has a fashion flaw. Well, temporarily. “I wear braces,” she confesses in the July issue of InStyle. Pulling out a photo from her upcoming film Cristiada, she says, “Look how crooked my bottom teeth were, and I never even knew.” Despite her imperfect teeth, Longoria always manages to turn heads when out with famous friends like Jessica Alba and Victoria Beckham. But she wasn’t always called a stunner; in fact, she was once considered the homely one in her family because her three older sisters were blonde. “I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup when I was young,” she adds. “I would melt crayons and try to put them on my lips, and I would use watercolor for eye shadow.” Now a pro at glamming up — “I can even put them on in the car,” she boasts of her false-lash application skills — she enjoys using bronzing powder and a few key basics. “Mascara is very important. If I were on a desert island, I would have to have mascara and lip balm,” she shares. Also important to the petite star? “High heels,” she states. “I love designer shoes. There’s this pair in my closet by Versace, and they must be 8 inches — crazy tall!” She even keeps some for decoration. “They’re not to wear; they’re just to look really pretty in the closet,” she says. “They are art!” For more with Longoria, pick up the latest issue of InStyle, on newsstands Friday.

It is crazy that she thought anything need improving. She is absolutly gorgeous, but it just goes to prove that even the most beautiful of women can find a flaw in themselves. Even if the world can’t. That is a message that I wish teenage girls could understand. It is still hard to believe that her husband cheated on her. She is sooo beautiful.

The article doesn’t specify what *else* she is doing when she can put on eyelashes in her car, but I hope she’s sitting in the passenger or back seat, being driven, because if she isn’t, there isn’t enough more important than PAYING ATTENTION TO THE DAMN ROAD. THE MAKEUP CAN WAIT.

It’s nice to know that someone as gorgeous as she is, is flawed.

She is very pretty, but really is this newsworthy?

so, she wasn’t considered pretty because she wasn’t blonde? I’m very confused by this. Eva is definitely having some identity issues. I have heard her say before that she was never beautiful because she is the only one of her sisters with dark hair and skin. It’s a sad sad world if someone as attractive as Longoria falls prey to the dated standard of beauty. She should really get some help for those issues.
