Natalie Portman's Fiance for YSL
Charles Sykes/Rex USA

He’s a dancer, a fiancé, a father-to-be — and now, Natalie Portman‘s main squeeze Benjamin Millepied is the new face of an unnamed Yves Saint Laurent men’s fragrance. Millepied, principal dancer at the New York City Ballet, was spotted moving his way through Manhattan this week while shooting ads for the unreleased scent, which will debut in September. According to WWD, the fragrance will be third in a line of YSL scents that includes L’Homme (Halle Berry‘s beau Olivier Martinez fronts for that one) and La Nuit de L’Homme. The endorsement deal mirrors that of Millepied’s betrothed; Portman was most recently the face of Miss Dior Cherie perfume. The pair met while filming Black Swan. Tell us: What do you think of YSL’s choice?

Portman pulled her face from the Dior campaign after a video was released of then-chief designer John Galliano making anti-Semitic remarks.

Why not. He is a very talented dancer and an attractive man. Hope they will be very happy with their baby

That’s why they said “WAS” most recently, not IS…

I think Mr. Millepied is an inspired choice.

YSL is smart – by hiring him, they’re getting TWO names linked to their new fragrance: Millepied AND Portman (ie just look at the title of this article), yet they’re only paying for one.

The photo looks good from the waist up…but I am not sure I’d want a guy to smell like a someone who can do that with his foot. I admit, I have never understood dance as an artform, even with all the discipline it takes.

The actor chosen for La Nuit de l’Homme was Vincent Cassel who is the director of the dance company in Black Swan.

To gg: Natalie Portman is still the face of Miss Dior Chérie, she threatened to cancel her campaign but Galliano was fired so she remained.
