Michelle Obama's Stylist Revealed

Michelle Obama is a staple of best-dressed lists, known for rocking everything from haute designers to H&M, but even the First Lady needs a helping hand shopping sometimes. ABC News reports that hairdresser Vera Chamberlin revealed to the Washington Post that her client Meredith Koop, a 29-year-old Vanderbilt University grad, has taken over the role of stylist to the First Lady from Chicago retailer Ikram Goldman. Koop, a former protegé of Goldman, was sent to the White House to help out with Obama’s fashion needs before taking over the role full time. A White House spokesperson identifies Koop as a “personal aide to the First Lady and a member of the White House Residence staff” with duties beyond the First Lady’s wardrobe. But as far as clothes are concerned, the White House said in an email to ABC News that Koop’s “responsibilities include advising the first lady on her wardrobe and acting on her behalf in arranging for purchases, including considering the best offered price, and buying on discount if discounts are available.” Sounds like a good gig to us!

the woman is intellegent and part native american. She can do so much for this country but is taken in by a twenty nine year old stylist. Kind of tells you where the priorities of this country lie. So congrats on the US bing a superficial cesspool that will take the rest of the world down with it.

I don’t understand why people are complaining about Mrs. Obama having a stylist…every other first lady had one. SMH

I agree with DSB….The internet does give ignorance a platform! Any idiot with access to a computer can now voice their opinion. Which is basically negative, frivolous, subjective, and has no beneficial merit. This negative spew is another bad case of rush to judgment. Leave the First Lady alone and focus on yourself and how you are portrayed to others.

If there’s one thing I do remember after the election is that this couple were being compared to John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy. Well, well, well. These two people are just pathetic. 2012 elections can’t come fast enough for me. This lady is no Jackie Kennedy. Not even by a mile

To all of you republicans, stop being racis. You all are only saying this because the obama’s are black, and you hate blacks. Get over it he’s there to say,the country has spoken. This country will never heal with people like you guys.

I’m no racist and I think all non-black Americans are sick of being called that name. It’s offensive to US! It’s okay for us to be called names, just as offensive as what white’s supposedly call black people! It’s childish and its racism in reverse.
If there is anyone you want to blame for our country being in the condition it is, we should blame Clinton and his Presidency. He was too busy with Monica Lewinsky to tell the armed forces to blast Osama Bin Laden out of the water. We let the 1993 WTC bombing pass us by and we had a target to kill BinLaden, yet here we are calling each other racists, worrying about Michele Obama’s wardrobe, and the deficit that Obama created after TARP was put in place.
So everyone needs to remember history as it truly was. Clinton is the one who led us to war, it was Clinton who has blood on his hands for 9/11.
And this is a fact, we are more dependent on our government than in any other time in history. Now that’s on Obama’s head. Didn’t he talk about job creation while millions of Americans were losing their jobs? Now those without jobs and who are desperately searching for jobs are taking jobs that pays far less than the person is worth and we just have to accept that because we have no other choice.
Make no mistake, we wouldn’t have gotten into a war if Clinton had done his job back when he had the opportunity to stop that terrorist in his tracks!
Look how much respect the world has for us now, of all the countries in the world, it is our new President and his wife that haven’t been invited to the royal wedding, talk about a blatant snub. Britian who has always been our allies are now telling us loud and clear that we don’t matter, and not inviting you to this wedding is our way of saying it without saying it!
