Natalie Portman has a big year ahead of her–a new engagement, a baby on the way and a big awards season coming up. But it’s not just Portman who will be burning the midnight oil in preparation. Her stylist, Kate Young, will be hard at work behind the scenes, choosing the perfect ensembles for the pregnant actress’s red carpet appearances. Young, who has been dressing Portman for the past eight years, tells the New York Times that “mum’s the word” on what the actress will wear this season, but says she has requested numerous custom dresses for the upcoming awards shows, including the Golden Globes on January 16. And while Young tells the Times that “Natalie is not that into fashion,” her stylist still sees this as a great fashion opportunity. “Natalie is beautiful and poised,” Young says. “It’s an opportunity to make the most beautiful pregnancy dress on the red carpet.” —Kim Peiffer

shut up celeb pregnancies have always gone in cycles though they get covered more often now because of the power of the tabloids and supposed friends leaking stuff. at least she has a stylist not all stars did back in the day which sometimes worked really well but usually didn’t. for example the green taffeta ball gown Joanne Woodward won her best actress oscar in she made herself in part to hide the fact that she’d had miscarriage six weks before the ceremony and still had the pooch from the pregnancy and obviously a bit from depression over losing the baby whom she and Paul loved dearly infact she was so devastated that she didn’t even want to go to the ceremony but Paul convinced her to though while accepting the oscar she broke down in tears hopefully Natalie never experiences that kind of loss sure it brought Newman & Woodward closer but it more commonly works the opposite way

They’re called maternity dresses dumbie.

She can dress whatever way she likes but not this shapeless boxy style. Empire waist style could have been better.

Oh please she is about two seconds pregnant.

Em you need to shut up! Just because you are a low class nobody you shouldn’t hate on those who actually matter.

I hope she enjoys worrying about things like her hair and dress now while she can. Once you have a baby, all of that goes right out the window. I have a feeling she is in for kind of a rude awakening. These celebrities are so focused on themselves, they just don’t have a clue how it is to be a parent and to be lucky to be able to even brush your teeth. Good luck, Natalie.

It kind of bums me out when people come on here just to exude their jealousy on beautiful, intelligent, and talented people. I hope Natalie never sees most of these comments because they are just ridiculous.

She’s amazing, and I wish the best of luck for her this year! Great performance in Black Swan!
