Harry Potter star Emma Watson may have fans clamoring to replicate her sophisticated style, but unlike some of Hollywood’s hot young things, she’s notoriously refused to lend her name to just any fashion or beauty project. And, she says, if there’s one form of celebrity licensing that truly confounds her, it’s celebrity scents. “I can’t understand this fragrance thing,” she tells the British Press Association. “Why would you want to smell like somebody else? Don’t you want to smell like yourself?” While Eau de Emma won’t be hitting beauty counters anytime soon, fashion collaborations are something she has been more open to, recently contributing and modeling for fair-trade clothing collection Free People and posing alongside younger brother Alex in a series of ads for luxury collection Burberry. “I love it, and I will continue to work in the fashion industry,” she says. “I am interested in ethical fashion, I want to make a difference and it’s nice to contribute.” –Justine Harman

I really like you Emma. You are not about the money. You do things only if you feel they are right.Finish school, stay away from drugs, and never change for anyone. You are not only a real woman(and the most beautiful one and that),but you have a great personality and thats why everyone adores you.I hope when you find someone, its because it was love at first site.In other words, you will know when you like someone when they absolutley stun you and take your breath away.Kind of the same way i feel for you.

Typo: Emma collaborated with People Tree, not Free People

Agreed with ED – typo on Free People. Free People is most definitely NOT Fair Trade – they employ many people in sweatshop conditions.

She goes to Brown University. Ms. Watson will forge her own intelligent future without selling out.

celebs put their names on perfume if they think it smells good, and this is the reason why some people will try these perfumes. Wearing a celeb brand perfume does not mean the celeb wears it and people want to smell like them. Emma just comes off as snooty with this comment. Brown university so what…and does really having a pixie cut make one more intelligent as well? I dont think so

Finally, someone with a brain! Although my one exception is Celine Dion fragrances. They ROCK!!!

It's true on

The celebrity fragrance thing really is beating a dead horse. Britney, Beyonce, Usher, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Shakira, Halle Berry, JLo, SJP, Antonia Bandaras and on an on and on… It’s being done so much there’s no where new or original they can go.

I like Emma!

Does posting a snarky comment about someone’s hair cut make a person right? I don’t think so. More people need to think like Emma does, then we won’t have celebrities putting out a new fragrance every other month. For all her fame and wealth, she seems down to earth and intelligent, and she is a great role model for young girls.
