Boasting a filmography of iconic movies that span the decades, Taxi Driver and Goodfellas director Martin Scorsese is now bringing his big-screen talents to the world of men’s fragrance. Starring rising French film star Gaspard Ulliel, Scorsese’s short film for Bleu de Chanel tells the story of a newly famous actor whose unconventional approach to life lands him in front of a sea of reporters–while flashing to his time spent with seductive beauties. “Martin Scorsese is a director whom I’ve admired for a long time,” says Ulliel in a release. “I see him as one of the great masters of contemporary filmmaking. Throughout the five days of work, he overflowed with energy and enthusiasm and achieved something that truly stands out from other fragrance commercials.” As for the scent itself, the just-launched woody aromatic juice features notes of grapefruit, peppermint, pink pepper, nutmeg and ginger. Prices start at $59 for a 1.7-oz. eau de toilette spray on Tell us: What do you think of Scorsese’s Bleu de Chanel film short?–Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester
