Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete might have taken home the crown at last night’s Miss Universe competition, but that didn’t stop Miss USA Rima Fakih from feeling like a queen. And it was all thanks to her stunning Reem Acra dress! “To be a winner you have to feel like one,” Fakih tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I cannot imagine myself in anything else besides a Reem Acra dress for the ultimate competition of my life. I felt like a princess in this design and Reem was quick to know what style would make me feel like a universal woman!” And for designer Reem Acra, playing fairy godmother to the beauty queen was all in a day’s work. “I wanted to give Rima the best of the best whether she won or lost,” says Acra. Working closely with the 24-year-old beauty, the designer created the princess-worthy gown that Fakih wore on stage during Monday night’s telecast. “Everyone looks great in red and the fit of the mermaid gown is perfect on Rima. The scalloped neckline is alluring but still very chic,” dishes Acra. From the patriotic color to the dramatic sweeping train, we couldn’t imagine a better dress for Miss USA. Tell us: What do you think of Miss USA’s Reem Acra gown?Andrea DeSimone

She needs more “support” up there….otherwise, it’s a beautiful dress.

its a pretty dress, she does look gorgeous but is it me or does the dress seem to heavy and it might be pulling off her?

At first glance, I thought it was plastic.

The dress is absolutely stunning, and retro looking.

I have a photo of my mother, back in the 50s, wearing a very similar dress.

The cut, the seams, the scalloped neckline, the total silouette are more than magnificent. It’s breathtaking!!! I don’t think it’s too low, and that bodice isn’t going anywhere. If the bodice didn’t have boning, then sufficient double-sided tape was used, I’m sure. Would love to know what fabric was used? Sateen? Almost looks like glove leather… almost.

Didn’t Eva Longoria wear this dress to an awards show? It looks very familiar…..

Eva Longoria wore this dress to the 2009 Golden Globes.

I agree that it is lovely but also agree that the boobs look low. It would have looked better with more of a push up. Makes her look small chested.
She looks great in red.

The last 2 lines are incorrect. “…patriotic dress…we could not imagine a more perfect dress for Miss USA…” HUH??? Thought Miss Universe is Miss Mexico?? Wonder if they copied and pasted that…

I went back and looked at the 2009 Golden Globe awards and it does look like the exact same dress that Eva Longoria wore to that award show.
Only thing that might be different is Eva’s looks like a lighter weight fabric for that poof at the bottom.
