Rocking a latex dress is no easy task. Rocking a latex dress on TV, where the camera adds an extra 10 lbs., requires sacrifice. “The other day I realized as long as I’m in this business, I’m going to be hungry,” True Blood‘s Kristin Bauer tells Popeater about her strategy to looking fang-tastic. Since joining the cast of HBO’s hit series last season as the figure-flaunting Pam, Bauer, who once played Jerry’s man-handed date on Seinfield, has stepped up her diet and exercise regimen to accommodate the form-fitting and body-flaunting costumes of Eric Northman’s (Alexander Skarsgard) sexy sidekick. “During that first wardrobe fitting, I knew I would have my midriff showing. I thought, ‘I need to get serious’ and started going to ab classes more regularly.” As part of a show known as much for its chiseled physiques as its skin-piercing fangs, the vegetarian acknowledges to Movieline that her costars are “all working out like crazy and have diets,” which for the ladies includes avoiding carbs onset. “All the women walk by Craft services and keep going. I don’t even know why we walk by, we’re just torturing ourselves.” And while she’s in tiptop form, Bauer says she’s still motivated to sweat a little more: “After any wardrobe fitting, I hit the gym three times more than the week before.” — Christie LaRusso

It’s great that she is being honest about the sacrifices that needs to be done to look good. So many people including myself have been looking for an easy way out. I’ve come to realized that it doesn’t exist.

Hey fpf, your comment is misspelled.

Ugh… ‘your’. I don’t get paid the big bucks for writing here, though ;(

I had no idea she was Man Hands. Heh.

Wow, I appreciate her sincerity. It makes me feel sooo much better about myself. They are working just as hard to stay thin as the rest of us.

She can’t give an interview without mentioning Alexander Skarsgard. Seriously. Dig around and read her interviews since she started TB. She always manages to find a way to work him in.

I mean, I guess Yay for honesty but is that what it takes to be a successful actress? Being hungry all the time? Wow.

Lauren – re-read this article. She didn’t mention him; the author referred to her as his side-kick, that’s all.

fpf- it’s Kristin… not “kristln”. Perhaps you should have made sure your spelling/grammar wasn’t worse than People’s before you opened your big, fat mouth.

Hmmm… interesting to hear!
