The Details Behind Emma Watson's New Pixie Cut

Hair today, gone tomorrow! In what seemed like one flick of her wizard’s wand, Harry Potter star Emma Watson said a swift goodbye to her luxurious chestnut locks and hello to a dramatic new pixie haircut. “The stylist just grabbed the back of my hair and took a whole ponytail of hair out,” the newly shorn starlet tells about her visit to New York stylist Rodney Cutler. “I’ve wanted to do this since I was about 16, so as soon as I had the chance I was like, ‘Right. This is it.'” That chance presented itself when, after more than a decade, filming for the blockbuster Harry Potter movie series finally wrapped and put to rest Watson’s charming Hermione Granger character and the unruly hair she had to have to play the part. “I missed all that experimentation that most teenagers go through.” Making up for the years in inches, this teen doesn’t have any regrets. “It was the most liberating thing!…I love it.” Tell us: What do you think of Emma Watson’s new do? looks soo beautiful. Don’t go back, at least not yet. It’s time to grow up and out of the child girly long hair.

Emma’s face shape is perfect for that hair. She looks gorgeous whatever she does, but I think it looks fantastic, and the picture makes her look almost ethereal.

I love it! She has a perfect face for that kind of cut!

What lovely ears and neck you have!

I love it! I think it looks adorable on her! She has lovely delicate features that have been overshadowed by her long locks.

With her hair she just looks normal, pretty but normal. With her short hair you can actually see how beautiful she really is.

With a face like that, she’d look great with NO hair!! Go for it :-)

It’s pretty, but not nearly as beautiful as her previous hairstyle — which is fine; like she said, she just wants to experiment. Do hope she grows it out again at some point.

i am a man. And I despise short hair on women :)because once the hair is cut, it makes them lose their attracive feminine quality. Women’s long hair is this beautiful, luxurious cascade which lot of men find irrestible. I wonder why women think appearing like men, dressing like men is more liberating. If anything, by copying men they are just showing that they value men’s things more than their own. It is crazy

Is she up for the Lisbeth Salander role in US make of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo?
