Orlando Bloom might be off the market, but you’ll still be able to get a little piece of the star–if you’re willing to jet to Europe, that is. The Pirates of the Caribbean swashbuckler has just announced that he’ll front Hugo Boss’s newest men’s fragrance. “BOSS Orange is a brand I immediately identified with because it has a laid back, spontaneous quality I relate to,” the actor says in a release. His men’s fragrance will be a follow-up to the women’s scent, which launched in Europe in 2009 with Sienna Miller as its face. And while details of Orlando’s campaign and the juice itself are still forthcoming, according to the actor, it’s smooth sailing when it comes to this latest role: “It’s been really fun–and there’s more to come!,” he teases. Unfortunately for American fans of the man and the brand, reps tell PEOPLE, that doesn’t include bringing the fragrance Stateside. Ok on

It always amazes me that people really do buy this kind of stuff. Donald Trump cologne anyone??

I think the best scent of all is the smell of cleanliness after a shower. There is no need to flagrance oneself with a celebrity endorsed fragrance.

But to each their own. I am sure the Orlando cologne will sell well.

How low will he go? I think that is so tacky!

Not hardly.
He joins some very exclusive company.
Lots of big stars do advertisements in Europe and Asia.
They make very good money, and they always pose for reputable brands.
It’s Hugo Boss, not Walmart, for heaven’s sake.
I think that Orlando will be amazing in the ads, and I would love to see them come to the US.

Yes they do ads over in Europe and Asia because it’s tacky in the US. It is all about the money, you are right to point that out. I think it’s cheap and low class!!! He would have been better off to do POTC4 instead of this.

POTC4 is just a grab at money.
They should have ended the series at 3. At least doing an ad is an honest way to make some fast money, and not an underhanded grab at cash by a bunch of greedy studio execs. Johnny should be ashamed of himself.
There is nothing wrong with celebs doing ads.
Just to name a few, George Clooney, Gwyneth Paltro, Robert DeNiro, Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightly, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and yes, Johnny Depp have all done ads. Are all of them cheap and low class, too?

How about fronting for a shampoo ad instead? Looks like he needs a good hair wash before applying cologne.

LOL. Maybe he should try to get his career back. What a sad pathetic, desparte move. Can he even get an acting job snymore? Is there a more unmemorable actor out there? As soon as Pirates ended I forgot all about him and his role. Selling perfume now, thats just sad and funny:)

I don’t find him to be attractive.

I did however find something about him to be attractive and intriguing when he was a white-haired & robed elf saving the world with much skill using his bow & arrow.
