Many stylists might shudder at the thought of tending to two of Hollywood’s hottest heads in one evening–but not star hairstylist Ken Paves, who created Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria Parker’s easy breezy dos for a recent LG launch event. “It took me less than 20 minutes to create each look,” Paves told PEOPLE. Inspired by their “feminine, sexy” attire, he worked with their natural hair texture to create “modern, effortless” styles to match. Not only has Paves been kept busy tending to A-list tresses, he also recently launched his Self-Help hair care line available on PEOPLE asked Ken to dish on how to maintain your best hair when the heat is on. His number one tip is to stay away from shampoos with sulfates, which “strip hair of its color and natural oils. When combined with sun damage, hair can become extremely brittle and dry.” Stick with an SLS-free shampoo. The second step to great hair involves using a deep-conditioning treatment once a week, which, he explains, “restores the moisture in hair.” And to keep your hair frizz-free, “Try a styling cream before you using any heat styling tools.” To get more of Paves’ summer hair tips, pick up the current issue of PEOPLE, on stands now. If you have a fall hair question for Ken, now is your chance to ask! Send it to (be sure to include your name and hometown, too) and you could see it featured in an upcoming issue of PEOPLE! —Jackie Fields

Help, my hair is 35inches long and I have a bad case of flyaways. I have tried so many products to control the flyaways, but nothing works. Any suggestions? Thanks

Ken, I’ve actually used SLS-free shampoos and conditioners for sometime, and have found them to be beneficial in preserving my color. As I approach my forties, my hair needs more moisture and a heavier conditioner. What products to you recommend for a “quick-fix” when my normal products just don’t get the job done.

How can I learn to maintain my wavy/curly hair? I’m a student and I recently decided to quit the straightener because I need to learn to be quick with my morning routine. Thank you :)

Love you better blonde!!
My questions is .. how do I get the most out of my hair color? to make it last longer and more vibrant? I use the shampoos for color hair and hair products, but my hair starts to feel heavy and lifeless after a while.. my hair is shoulder length with long layers.. help!!

Ken Paves, you would look totally AWESOME with the original Kate Gosselin cut!

Also, it would be cool to see Tom Cruise grow his hair a bit and get the original Rachel friends ‘do!

I have been coloring my hair for many years and want to transition to a natural gray.

What is the best way to do this?

Just an FYI–I think you are supposed to send your questions to the email address in the last sentence rather than posting here.
