Premiere or Party: Which Sarah Jessica Parker Dress Do You Like Better?

Why limit yourself to one fabulous outfit when you can wear two? Luckily Sarah Jessica Parker followed that style logic equation and treated us to a glamorous costume change Monday night. For the Sex and the City 2 world premiere at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, the stylish star stepped out in a bright yellow Valentino gown, accessorized with VBH and Fred Leighton jewels and silver satin double-platform pumps by Salvatore Ferragamo. Just hours later, she reappeared at the after-party at Lincoln Center in a lacy long-sleeved cocktail dress by Elie Saab, Kimberly McDonald geode cuffs and Nicholas Kirkwood peep-toe heels. We love the ultra-glam factor of a mid-evening wardrobe change, but with two dresses as different as night and day, it’s tough to decide which style best captured the high-fashion spirit of the event. Tell us: Which of Sarah Jessica Parker’s premiere-night looks do you prefer? Vote! –Marissa Patlingrao Cooley

SJP and SATC costume designer Patricia Field share the stories behind Carrie’s iconic looks on!

I like the premiere Valentino Dress so much better than the one SJP wore to The Sex and the City 2 Afterparty!

The yellow dress is much better but I love the shoes she’s wearing with the black dress!

Actually, between the four women at the premiere, my favorite was Kim Catrall. Sarah Jessica was my least favorite. I just thought her look was trying to be edgy and did not get there.

Love the yellow…the black is too goth for me.

I think that the party dress it too much. especially for her age. I’m not saying she is old but it’s not her generation. The yellow Valentino presents a classy side to a independent women

I really love Jessica’s hair (for once) & her tan looks good too.

Not to be rude, but I don’t get it. Compared to the other actresses in Sez and the City, Miss Parker stands out like a sore thumb. A long face, pointy chin, a big nose and “man” hands.

Really.. YUK all around with Sarah. I’m sorry if I offend anyone.. but honestly I think she has horrible taste. Very very rarely do I like anything she wears. It’s like she try’s too hard or something and it just doesn’t impress me at all.

I love the yellow Valentino dress, it is classy and beautiful, but I thought Kim Catrall’s dress was the most glamorous
