We were thrilled when we first heard back in November that Lauren Conrad would be writing a style book, and we weren’t the only ones that wanted her fashion feedback. Conrad tells PEOPLE exclusively that her new tome was, in fact, inspired by all of her fans. “The first book tour I went on, I had the opportunity to meet thousands and thousands of fans. The majority of the questions were about fashion,” explains Conrad. “It was fun to share all the things I had learned.” So what will you see in Lauren Conrad Style? Besides tons of never-before-seen photos and relatable advice from Conrad herself along with her glam squad, expect “personal stories, live and learn stories,” and yes, even “a couple of high school horror stories.” While Conrad does find wearing cocktail dresses on the red carpet easier than dressing for everyday life, she devotes chapters to every occasion, even deciphering dress codes like the dreaded business casual. Her must-tip: don’t be afraid to take your pieces to a tailor to achieve your perfect fit. “Most of the things I buy are tailored,” she dishes, emphasizing the importance of finding your best fit instead of just following trends. Lauren Conrad Style will hit bookshelves on October 5, 2010, the same date as her third novel Sugar & Spice. Find out more about Lauren’s books at harperteen.com. –Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

What a bad picture of her for the cover…. the raggidy bun, the bug eyes…. not the best choice for the cover.

She looks gorgeous…as usual!

It is so nice to see her doing well. She must be so happy to be out of all “The Hills” drama. Go Lauren!!

Brynn on

Too bad she didn’t have a bigger creative side like Whitney Port has and could produce collections in New York because I like her as a person but not as a designer.

Well done! You look fabulous! Everything you do is with class, your parents should be proud!

I do not like this pic of her. It makes her look about 40. I don’t think it’s good for the cover of a book, I never would approved that.
