In case you’re searching for the Father’s Day gift to end all Father’s Day gifts: Renaissance power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have unveiled their first men’s design for venerable British jewelry house Asprey. As part of jeweler’s limited-edition Protector collection, Angelina and Brad have designed a pair of diamond cufflinks, available at Asprey stores now. Sharing the same serpent-inspired motif as the rest of the collection (snakes were a symbolic guardian talisman during the actress’s first pregnancy), the 18k white gold cufflinks are encrusted with elegant black diamonds and punctuated with emerald snake eyes. As much a philanthropic gift as a fashion statement, the cufflinks retail for a cool $10,000, with 100% of net proceeds going to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict (EPCC), a charitable organization co-founded by Jolie. The collection also includes a jewelled ring and bracelets, as well as children’s items like a tooth box and silver egg cup. they are beautiful. HOWEVER…us commom wives how work 2 jobs still will never be able to afford these!!! why not do something the average person could afford??? am i missing something? same goes for clothing lines by “famous” people..cut us a break! we want nice things to!

But, Becky – the horse refuses to die. Gotta keep beatin’!

Nothing special on

That’s nice, but wouldn’t it make more sense to design something that average people can buy so they can support the cause too? If they designed $50-$100 cuff links and publicized it, they would probably make a lot more than $10,000! Look at how much GoRed has made!

I don’t like snakes but these look really cool. Gotta give a thumbs up to the celebrities that do a lot for charities around the world.

Jeez…what a bunch of haters and negative comments.

I think the cuff links are beautiful. Tastefully done.

They are very nice and different, but for $1000?
I am curious to know how many they were able to sell off.

A creative but unflatering design, they must of been reflecting on their relationship that day.

I agree with Bill & Carol. They are snakes!!!

Wow those are really cool looking. They are a neat couple and I respect them for their many efforts to help others less fortunate.
P.S. Faith- snakes don’t represent the devil..that is sooo lame.

They’re a beautiful design. Snakes also represent wisdom, balance, intellect and protection, and patience. So if they’re a testament to someone’s character, they’re not a bad thing at all.
