Relaxed, harem-inspired pants have been popping up everywhere! They’re such a fresh take on trousers (and we like how comfy they are!), but when we spotted Gwen Stefani leaving a nail salon in Palm Springs. wearing a slouchy-to-the-max pair, we couldn’t help but think: How slouchy is too slouchy? We love Gwen’s trendy, cool-girl style, but we’re not quite sure if this look works. What do you think? Tell us: Would you wear extra-slouchy pants like Gwen’s? Vote now!

The pants aren’t the problem. She needs a tank top or other form fitting top. The one she has on has a mind of its own.

I agree– with a fitted shirt the pants would look cool.

The top and pants are both OK… separately. But wearing them together is just an overkill.

i agree. the pants and the top are both really great. but one of the basics of style is that you don’t wear loose with loose… the pants with a fitted top would look great. likewise the top with skinny jeans or something.

Nope! No way! They make your rear look HUGE!!!!!!!!!

Oh, gosh. That’s a little…disturbing. There’s a reason tighter jeans were so popular. ;) Personally, I feel that style is a little too “Aladdin”…

It definitely doesn’t help that she’s walking in the wind either. The fabric just freely blows around everywhere making her look like a human sailboat.

I don’t think I would wear these things. lol

Nope! XD

I think the proper name for those pants are shalwar. And they were all rage in Ottoman fashion and around the world during the 16th and 17th century. Alas sadly, that is a time when men were men and women were beautiful… bravo Gwen your bottom half is beautiful… erm in those wonderful shalwar that is.

I think the outfit looks very nice on her.

yep! it’s a shalwar all right! and i wear one all the time, except it comes all the way down to the ankles and it’s combined with a long flowy shirt called a ‘kameez’. i also sling a 2 and a half metre long piece of fabric around my neck to complete the outfit. it’s an eastern thing, and very pakistani :) great for our kind of weather (hot!)as the material used is very light cotton.

It looks ok on her though, but the pants is too baggy and big, I’m sure I’d look awkward and funny wearing that.So no, not for me!

I would only wear those pants if they were guaranteed to come with a magic lamp and genie.
