Will You Buy Gwyneth Paltrow's Spring Fashion Must-Haves?

Just like every other fashionista, Gwyneth Paltrow is gearing up for spring, and the style star is sharing her must-haves for the season in her GOOP newsletter. “Hands down, our most coveted, most transitional must-have for spring is the dress. Put it in a rich royal sapphire color with classic details that DVF does so well – a fitted waist, tiered bottom and flirty cut – and you have a piece that will take you effortlessly from day to night,” writes Gwyneth, who called upon New York-based stylist Annie Ladino to help her find spring’s hottest pieces. And for a piece that will get you all the way through to fall, Gwyneth recommends “the little white dress,” of course! “In all its incarnations, it is the perfect piece to pack for all your summer getaways.” Designers, says Gwyneth, really showed the “playful side of fashion” this season with all-over prints, stripes, textured zig-zags, tie-dye and embellished fabrics to name a few. “Forget what everyone told you about mixing prints – more is more this spring!” Pairing printed dresses and basics with high fashion toppers has never been easier according to Gwyneth, who writes “classic military shapes and colors were made totally wearable this season, and the key is all in the details. Balmain showed us how to make blazers sexy with slick, skinny leather pants and shredded T’s.” Click over to GOOP.com to see Gwyneth model her spring picks and then shop her favorites.

So what percent of your readers do you think can afford the clothing gwyneth is talking about?! I went onto the web page of this store she is talking about a shirt on there is more than my car payment. What a joke try relating to the real people of america!!!

I’m glad The Gosselin’s dogs, Shooka & Nala, are returning to The Gosselin home once the weather gets warmer!

That shopping center is one of the most elite in the country on Long Island’s Gold Coast. She is quite delusional. She should be spending money at the many universities just down the road.

…and how many summer getaways does the average American/Family take?…from day to night…mmm from work to making dinner to youth basketball games…yeah..that little white dress is so appropriate!!!!!!!!!! She is an idiot…

I do not usually comment on things but good golly. Is her site aimed for celebrities or every day people? If it is the later then she has no idea what her target audience is made up of. Many people are losing their houses and she is talking about ALL your summer getaways. Like many people now in days are going on vacation much less many vacations.
She is an idiot. How many people can afford the $4,705 cargo pants on her site? Or who can afford the first dress that pops up on the Hirshleifer’s site, the Chanel dress for $18,465. At least she has a few dresses on there for $49. You know for us average Joes that do not make millions of dollars for three months of work.

For every super expensive dress, she offers very close affordable options from places like H&M and Gap to show how trends come off the runway and are re-interpreted for regular women. Almost every women’s magazine does it except the snootiest, like Vogue, which assumes its’ readers won’t wear anything but the $18,000 gown. If you think about it, Gwyneth’s presentation of trends at all price ranges is anti-snob, and it’s you people who are passing judgment.

FYI…see is irrelevant so who cares what she thinks?

WE LOVE GWENETH. She IS like springtime!

It’s clear the recommendations were made by the Elle Magazine stylist, not by Gwyneth. She showed the expensive version then offered affordable alternatives. The only way I see to get it cheaper would be to hope that a store like Target or a thrift store carries something similar, which just never happens in my smaller size. As another commenter noted, this is no different from what the magazines do. I can’t wait to check out that H&M dress!

I laugh when people criticize what she writes in her blog/newsletter. She writes it for her fans/friends. If you don’t like it, you certainly don’t have o read it. If you had read it you would have seen that for every expensive piece they showed a less expensive piece that would work just as well. If was actually a nice article.

I guess most people are just jealous. She leads a pretty blessed life, it’s is hard not to be envious.
