Tim Gunn on Heidi Klum: "She Really Is Superwoman"

Heidi Klum just a supermodel? Hardly. With four kids, two new maternity lines, and Project Runway hosting duties, it’s more like Superwoman Heidi Klum, says her Runway co-star Tim Gunn. “I don’t know how she does it. She really is Superwoman,” Gunn told PEOPLE at Wednesday’s Red Dress Awards in Manhattan. “I don’t have even one quarter of what she has on her plate, and I always feel like I’m a hair shy of a psychotic breakdown.” Did Klum, who gave birth to daughter Lou Sulola in October, “make it work” with her foray into maternity fashion? “Oh, Heidi always makes it work,” Gunn gushed. “But yes, she’s really infused fashion into maternity ware, and I’m crazy about what she’s doing. I think it’s wonderful.” Gunn, who is now filming the final episodes of Project Runway Season 7 at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, recently teamed up with Campbell Soup Company to help raise awareness about heart disease, the number-one killer of women. At Woman’s Day magazine’s Red Dress Awards, Gunn honored the winner of Campbell’s adDress Your Heart campaign. It’s an issue that’s close to his heart: Gunn’s own mother has heart disease. “She’s had a wonderful life and she’s been fighting this disease for a long time, and frankly, she’s getting tired,” he told PEOPLE. “She’s in the hospital now, so this is an issue that is part of my life and it means a great deal to me.”

I agree with Tim, Heidi Klum is Superwoman, and I also don’t know how she does it all? I’m sorry to hear that Tim Gunn’s mom is in the hospital with Heart Disease, I wish her a speedy recovery from it, and It’s nice that Tim was honoring someone for this cause!

Yes, it really must be so difficult to take care of kids when you have 2 nannies, a husband that doesn’t work, 2 housekeepers and a chef. What a super woman she is!!!

Daisy….really? Did you have to go there? What is it with the rudeness of humanity. You took a simple, “feel good” article and pooped all over it. Enjoy your weekend. Yeesh.

My thoughts and prayers are with Tim and his family. You know his mom is a wonderful person: just look at how Tim turned out.

I love Heidi and I think she is so cool and seems to be down to earth. I know that she has it easy in some ways with the help of nannies. Seal her husband does work so stop spreading rumors that he does not work. I wish I could have me some nannies life would be great everyone could use a hand. The chef I would love to have also. You go Heidi!!!!!!

You NEVER see her out in the public, unless it’s on a red carpet or running an errand with her kids. She is not the spotlight type outside of work, which means she actually IS spending time with her children and home. Yes she might have a nanny and/or house aides, but that is because she is a hard worker. I bet MILLIONS of moms would hire a nanny if they could afford it; is she to be blamed for loving her career, and putting effort into her work, instead of just doing the bare minimum and rushing home to be with her kids? She will be teaching them great ethics about work and responsibility as they grow up. I bet she still spends a lot of time with them anyway. She seems like a great person.

Maternity WEAR not ware.

Hey People, it’s “maternity WEAR”. It’s clothing, not hardware.
