Lindsay Lohan On Her Ungaro Debut: "I Am Learning"

The Paris fashion world never expected to see pasties on the runway. Nor, apparently, did the creative consultant behind the disastrous line, Lindsay Lohan. The actress, 23, who was skewered by the fashion press for the first Ungaro collection she served as artistic advisor on, blamed the fiasco on “coming in so late and having not that much time to do a whole collection.” As for the much-maligned sequined pasties flashed by the models when they opened their jackets and blouses, Lohan said told PEOPLE on Wednesday at a Victoria’s Secret Velvet launch party in New York that she was as shocked as the audience. “I wasn’t aware of the nipple tassels on the girls until they were walking out,” she says, adding that “I am going back to Paris for the next collection….I am learning.” Still, the clock for her next collection is already ticking. “It’s already in January,” she says. “I thought it was in March.” –Isley Kasica

HEY – I am Susan (the first one). Not any other one. I still only say “take responsibility.” Nothing else.

If she ever said, “Look, I have no idea what I’m doing” I think I’d have to ask who at Ungaro hired her and why. Hmmm. Maybe we should be asking that already! If that’s the kind of reputation they want, I say, go for it. I hear Paris, Brit, etc, are available.

She cannot dress herself well, so why should anyone think that she could handle being a ‘consultant’?

Talk about a trainwreck

why isn’t anyone criticizing the designer? lindsay was only a consultant, and while she didn’t have enough time, the designer certainly did. she shouldn’t be taking responsability…

We can all criticize Lindsey all we want. But we are not in her shoes. She definitely has some issues and needs some serious help–only difference is that she has to live those issues through the press. Her parents are proof that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I wish Lindsey would clean up, get away from those leeches in her life and go back to the Lindsey we all loved–like when she was in Mean Girls. I dont condone her conduct, but whether a regular Joe or celebrity–sickness is sickness. This is only the opinion of one man.

And see how nicely she’s set herself up to be blameless should the next one be a disaster as well? She mentions it’s in January already, adding “I thought it was in March.” There now. No one can blame her for THAT one, either.

Pathetic. All she knows is how to crush parties and complain. In the real world people have to work all their lives before they receive recognition or respect. I say this girl already got waaaaaay more than she ever really deserved. I am amazed that serious people would want to downgrade themselves by working with her. Oh yeah fashion sense? I’ve never seen her well put together either. Her signature look is fake spotty tan and bleached hair extensions.

This girl never takes responsibility for anything. She’s turned into one big failure. Lindsay get some help. You look horrible. I’ve never seen a 23 year old who looks more in need of botox and that shouldn’t be. You look rode hard and put away wet and the only way someone your age would look like that is too much partying, drinking, and drugging.
