Style icon Mischa Barton might be known for seamlessly shifting from retro-cool street style and red carpet elegance, but regardless of where she’s headed, Mischa tells PEOPLE.com, “Accessorizing is oddly my favorite part of dressing up.” It comes as no surprise then that the actress has been having fun developing her headband collection with designer Stacey Lapidus. Mischa says that she found inspiration for the hair accessories, which range from $50 to $200, in her jet set lifestyle. “I’ve been working in the likes of India, Milan, Paris, London, Montreal, L.A, and NYC,” she explains. “My style has been somewhat boho chic, which I think is a result of having traveled so extensively throughout the course of the past year.” And she’s about to get even busier! In addition to her headband line and a collection of handbags, Barton is waiting to hear whether her pilot for the CW, A Beautiful Life, will get picked up for a series this fall. “It was a blast to film and though I’ve only seen bits and pieces [of it], I’m proud of the show and hopeful that I’ll get to shoot some more,” she says. “Since I have an obvious passion for fashion, it was also incredible for me to be offered a role that’s immersed in the industry.” Check out Mischa’s collection, available now at staceylapidus.com. — Lisa Ingrassia

I agree with the boho part, not so much chic. I have never seen a real (non-celeb) woman wear a headband like this and I hope it stays that way.

i am not a huge fan of her style, and i really don’t get the headbands are they for hippie wedding? does she really believe people will wear $50 to $200 headbands?! i know if i see a woman in a headband it usually means they didn’t do their hair or i instantly think of pat benatar either way……not good, get a real job misha.

HA HA HA. Ridiculous! WHO thinks this looks good? Can’t wait to see the ladies in WalMart buying milk wearing these!!

Why must you all diss people for doing something productive and for wanting to pursue their passion? Telling her to get a real job and saying that this is ridiculous? Come on. Would you say that to a friend or family member?

I think that the headbands are great, but toooo expensive. If a person wants to wear a headband… so be it. What works for one does not always work for another though.

Seriously! How is this ‘actress’ still getting press?
Every time that is see this ‘stylish’ person, she makes me think of an underweight clown. Good luck getting even $50 for one of those eye sores

All I can say to this is…..$50-$200…..come on! We all live in the real world here, who can afford a hair band for $200?

Headbands? Is she going for the woodland nymph look?

So sad that she was once said to be the “it girl” many years ago, but never really had any press for anything more than her love life, which never seemed anything much to be proud of. The head-band thing just makes her look even more pathetic. The only person on the planet they truly look good on is Nicole Ritchie. (they don’t even look good on MB)
