Jessica Simpson has endured her share of harsh body scrutiny recently — and now some of America’s hottest young women are about to test how they measure up dressed in one of Jessica’s skimpy bikinis. The New York Daily News reports that each of this year’s Miss USA contestants will be outfitted with a bikini from the singer’s swimwear collection to compete in the pageant. The white triangle-style suits, accented with gold trim, retail for $108 and are very similar to the green version above that the women tried out for a recent photo shoot in Las Vegas. Following Miss USA you’ll be able to nab one of the tiny bikinis for yourself at

Pagents are so lame and so are all the contestants and anyone who has anything to do with them. How do women ever expect to get respected when they allow people to judge them on their looks and body? They’re such a disgrace!

It is no wonder there are so many body image issues!

Tammy- Don’t be jealous just because those girls look good in a bikini.

Seriously, anyone thinking these comments that criticize pageants are derived from jealousy is disillusioned. Pageants are called “beauty” pageants for a reason and they are deplorable. What does looking good in a two-piece have to do with representing our country or your state or even your county? Let’s dig deeper people. It’s not about jealousy. It’s about reality.

Women who compete in pageants are highly intelligent, sucessful and driven. They are not judged by how good they look in a swimsuit. They are being judged on how well they maintain their physical apperance and how healthy they are. They are also judged on how driven and successful they are. Many pageant queens are very involved in their communities and spend countless hours volunteering their time. Judges can see through someone who is beautiful only on the inside. Competing in pageants builds your self confidence and provides you with opportunities to improve your interview skills and public speaking skills. Know more about a topic before you post something negative about something you know nothing about.

She is probably not jealous of how the girls look in a bikini. It is disgusting how women are viewed based on their bodies. It’s ridiculous how these women parade around being judged on their bodies. And people wonder why young girls have such a problem with body image or eating disorders. That is what is wrong today. Young girls growing up today cannot be happy with themselves because they have to grow up thinking that no one wants them if they aren’t a size 2 and have a couple of ribs showing. Absolutely disgusting and shameful.

If they are being judged on their accomplishments and intelligence, then why do they have to parade in a bikini that almost doesn’t cover anything up?

Good luck to all of the girls! Saw a video with David Beckham’s new Motorola ad, which was futuristic, and it was really good.

I say if you got it flaunt it! And, if you don’t like the idea or thought of a pageant whether it be a beauty pageant or not…then DON’T WATCH. But, don’t run your mouths and knock programs that others enjoy.

Matt…Tammy is not jealous! She is simply right! This pageant is ridiculous…judging people simply on their looks.
